Four people were arrested on drug charges at Western Maryland College in Westminster late Monday after police responded to a complaint about an odor of burning marijuana.Charged were Lynda E. Oxley, 18, Jason T. Dickerson, 18, Jason M. Morse, 20, and Andrea J. MacMillan, 18. Dickerson gave police an address in Monmouth, N.J., court records show; the other three live on College Hill Drive on the campus.In charging documents, city officers said they were called to Whiteford Hall about 10: 30 p.m. by campus security and smelled marijuana as they approached a room.

A fraternity leader at Western Maryland College was convicted of marijuana possession yesterday in Carroll County Circuit Court.The jury deliberated less than an hour before returning its guilty verdict against Brett A. Gershman, 21, of Newark, Del.Judge Luke K. Officers from the Carroll County Sheriff's Drug Strike Force arrested two men on marijuana charges after stopping a car in Patapsco Valley State Park about 4 p.m. Friday.Officers seized 4 ounces of marijuana, scales, rolling paper and a plastic bag with paint allegedly used for inhaling, said Sheriff John H. Brown.Brown said the officers who stopped the car were acting on an informant's tip that a Marriottsville man was transporting marijuana two or three times a week to Eldersburg and Westminster.

An Elkridge man pleaded guilty yesterday in Carroll County Circuit Court to one count of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.Jason W. Lewis, 19, was arrested on drug charges outside a Hampstead fast-food restaurant on April 22, court records show. Hampstead police said they found marijuana in Lewis' pockets and a marijuana pipe in his vehicle.Judge Luke K. An inmate at the county Detention Center was charged Tuesday with drug possession after a guard found marijuana in his pocket, county police said.Carlester Sellman, 38, was charged with possession of marijuana. He is serving 18 months for burglary.Daniel Sillaman, a guard at the Detention Center in Annapolis, told police he searched Sellman about 5 p.m. as he was leaving the center for his work-release job and found the marijuana.Pub Date: 7/11/96

County police arrested a Pasadena man on a drug charge Sunday after they stopped his truck near Fort Meade because a taillight was missing.Michael Anthony Burns, 18, of the 200 block of 11th St. was charged with possession of marijuana.Officer Arthur G. Foote stopped a white Ford Ranger on Route 32 near Route 198 in Odenton about 10: 30 p.m. When he spoke to the driver, Foote noticed an odor of marijuana from the truck, police said.The driver consented to a search of the truck, and police found a partly burned cigarette containing what later tested positive for marijuana, police said.

Four men and a woman were arrested Thursday night during a raid at a Pasadena home that yielded 4 1/4 pounds of marijuana and more than $450, police said.Eastern District officers obtained a warrant for the house in the 100 block of Linden Ave. after a two-month investigation that started with a tip to the department's drug hot line.Officers raided the house about 10:30 p.m. In addition to the drugs and money, they said they found pipes, several scales and tally sheets used for drug sales.

Police arrested a Pasadena man on drug charges Sunday after the man told police he had marijuana in his car, authorities said.An officer stopped an Isuzu pickup truck Swann Creek Drive and Kembo Road at Marley Neck Industrial Park shortly before 8:30 p.m. for trespassing, a police report said.The driver told police he was looking for a trash bin to empty boards and trash in his truck bed, the report said.The two police officers smelled marijuana and asked the driver if he had any drugs in his truck.
