Sunset on the green I recently played at one of the most beautiful golf courses in the United States. This shot was taken just as I was leaving the signature 17th hole at TPC at Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla. The sun was just going down, and the surroundings were surreal. What a beautiful sight! David Joseph Rufkahr,61, who played the simple country bumpkin Frank Bartles in the popular Bartles & Jaymes wine cooler ads, died after an apparent heart attack Tuesday in Bend, Ore.Many people believed he and his TV partner owned the company they promoted, although they didn't. In fact, Mr. Rufkahr -- a cattle rancher in real life who got the advertising job through a talent search -- once admitted that the only time he tasted the flavored wine drink was at a party thrown by Gallo Winery to introduce the product in 1985.

JUDITH KEMP JOHNSON, of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL., died September 6, 2004. She was born December 30, 1931 in Baltimore, MD., daughter of Dr. Richard Joseph Kemp and Alice Haynes Kemp. She received R.N. and B.S. degrees from Johns Hopkins Nursing School and Johns Hopkins UNiversity. She married Dr. Joseph E. Johnson III and accompanied him as his military service and academic medical career took them to positions in Hawaii, Bethesda and Baltimore, MD., Gainesville, Fl., Winston-Salem, NC, Ann Arbor, Mi and Philadelphia, PA. In 2003 they retire to Ponte Vedra Beach, Fl. With her vibrant personality and wonderful sense of humor she was a highly supportive wife and companion, an outstanding mother and friend of many.

KATHARINE "KITTY" ELIZABETH SHELDON, (nee Levy) 47, of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, passed away peacefully at her home on November 3, 2005 following a long struggle against Leiomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. She is survived by her husband, Benjamin J. Sheldon of Ponte Vedra Beach, her parents, William M. and Elizabeth Day Levy , of Baltimore and her brother, William Kirkwood Levy, of Lyons CO. Memorial Service will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 10, 2005 in the chapel of The Episcopal Church of The Redeemer, 5603 North Charles Street, Baltimore, MD In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Sarcoma Foundation of America, 2202 Damuth St., #2, Oakland, CA 94602 or the American Cancer Society.

STANLEY JOSEPH KLECZYNSKI, 54, of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, died peacefully, April 7, 2003 following a two-year battle with kidney cancer. He was born November 10, 1948 in Baltimore, MD and moved to Ponte Vedra Beach in August of 2001 from LaGrange, GA. Stanley was a territory manager for Pennington Seeds and had served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Chesterfield Yacht and Country Club, the Knights of Columbus and a member of the Cathedral-Basilica of St. Augustine. Family members include his fiance, June L. Cooper of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; daughter, Ashley Dianne Kleczynski of Phoenix, AZ, and brother, Martin Thomas Kleczynski of Denton, MD. Services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Thursday, April 10th, at the Sawgrass Pavilion.

CHARLES C. RETTBERG, JR., 75, a Baltimore native, died June 1, 2006 in Jacksonville, Florida. Mr. Rettberg attended the University of Maryland, graduating summa cum laude, and also received his J.D. from Maryland. He was a member of the Order of the Coif, and the Maryland Bar. His distinguished 37 year career as an attorney began at CSX Corporation with the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad and he retired in 1993. During his tenure he represented CSX on freight rate matters before the Interstate Commerce Commission and the U.S. Supreme Court, on antitrust law matters, and in its legislative and lobbying efforts through the Association of American Railroads.

Katharine Elizabeth "Kitty" Sheldon, 47, of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, passed away peacefully at her home on November 3, 2005, following a long struggle against Leiomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. She was born September 27, 1958 in Baltimore, Maryland and moved to Ponte Vedra Beach in 1992 from Towson, MD. Kitty led the contract travel team that arranged travel for Black and Decker Worldwide Operations, was a CSX travel consultant and an American Express Platinum travel consultant.
