Two men from the Glen Burnie area were arrested on burglary charges after an Anne Arundel County officer stopped their car early Wednesday and found a stolen copying machine in the trunk, police said.Lt. Tim Wheeler was northbound in the 500 block of Ritchie Highway about 2 a.m., near the Severna Park One shopping center, when he heard a radio call concerning a burglary at the Swim-n-Holes store and saw a small silver-colored car leaving the complex.After making a U-turn, Wheeler spotted the car traveling north, turned around again and pulled the car over, police said.

County police arrested an Arnold teen-ager Tuesday and charged him with making a bomb threat at Broadneck High School last week.The boy, 16, was charged with making a false report of a bomb. He was being held at Boy's Village in Cheltenham.Police said school administrators found a threat scrawled on a bathroom wall about 9: 30 a.m. Feb 11. The school was evacuated and searched, but no devices or suspicious packages were found, police said.This week, three witnesses told administrators about a boy who they said wrote the note, police said.

A man who demanded money but never said or implied he had a weapon robbed a Brooklyn Park 7-Eleven early Sunday, fleeing with an undisclosed amount of the store's money along with the clerk's handbag, county police said.The robber entered the store at 4000 Ritchie Highway just across the city line shortly before 4 a.m., jumped over the counter between the gas pump register and a rear cash register and declared: "I want the money."Asked where her handbag was, the clerk said she pointed to it under the counter near the rear register.

A Pasadena woman whose body was found in her bathroom one day after she was reported missing was strangled, according to the medical examiner.The body of Brenda Lee Painter, 36, of the 600 block of 201st St. was found about 1 p.m. Friday when an officer went to the house to follow up on a missing-person complaint that her mother had filed the day before.The officer checked on the house, found the door unlocked and found the body in the bathroom. There were no obvious wounds, police said.The woman's truck, a red 1996 Chevrolet S-10 pickup with gray trim and Maryland tags 54D-208 that also had been missing from her home, turned up yesterday morning in Baltimore, but police have made no arrests.

A gunman got into a Baltimore man's car while he was at a Nursery Road gas station Thursday, ordered the man to drive off and robbed him of $100 and a pager, county police said.Harold H. Grewe, 40, told police he was getting gas at an Amoco station in the 800 block of Nursery Road in Linthicum Heights just after 9 p.m. when a man got into his car, pulled out a gun and ordered him to drive away.The man ordered Grewe into a nearby parking lot, where he took Grewe's pager and cash and fled on foot, police said.

County police arrested a 14-year-old Severna Park High School student Wednesday on drug and theft-related charges after he was caught smoking in a boys' restroom. Police say he was searched, and a stolen credit card and a pipe containing marijuana residue were found on him.Police said a teacher found two boys smoking in a bathroom at Severna Park High about 11 a.m.He sent the 14-year-old to an administrator, who searched him and found a pack of cigarettes, a pipe and a Visa card belonging to Andrew Sosnowski of Severna Park, police said.
