He is also survived by his daughters Janet Mack, Linda Schwarz and Leisl Stacy, a sister, Marjorie Neuman, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Friday, November 10, 10:30 A.M. at Homewood at Plum Creek Chapel, 425 Westminster Avenue, Hanover, PA 17331. Burial will be private. A Severna Park man died from an apparent heart attack while boating on an Anne Arundel County creek, Maryland Natural Resources Police said Saturday. Frederick Ervin Jr., 56, and a friend were taking a boat out for the first time this year on Crownsville's Plum Creek at about 5:30 p.m. on Friday when Ervin felt sick, said Sgt. Brian Albert, a police spokesman. Plum Creek is a tributary of the Severn River. Ervin went to the side of the 33-foot center console power boat and leaned over, falling into the water, Albert said.

MARY "Jeanne" (Park) VAN NORT, 84, of Hanover, died at 1:55 A.M., Tuesday, August 12, 2003, at Homewood at Plum Creek in Hanover, PA. She was the wife of Charles F. Van Nort, Jr., to whom she was married for 56 years on January 18th. Mrs. Van Nort was born July 7, 1919, in Philadelphia, PA. She was the daughter of the late L. Russell and Margaret (Hallstead) Park. She graduated from Central High School in Scranton in 1940 and attended Cedar Crest College in Allentown, PA. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and also a former member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Scranton.

After years of talk and not much action, the western is finally galloping back to the airwaves.It begins with "Ned Blessing: The Story of My Life and Times" tonight at 9 on CBS (WBAL-Channel 11), followed by another Western, "The Adventures of Brisco County Jr.," premiering Aug. 27 on the Fox network (WBFF-Channel 45).If "Brisco County" is tongue-in-cheek -- and believe me, it is -- "Ned Blessing" is anything but.
