Baltimore County police were investigating an assault and carjacking that took place just before 11 p.m. Wednesday evening in Perry Hall. According to police, the suspect — described as a white man in his early 20s, standing 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing about 170 pounds — began to assault the victim, a pizza delivery man, outside his place of employment in the 4100 block of E. Joppa Road. The suspect punched the victim to the ground and took the delivery man's car keys and cell phone, police said, before fleeing in the victim's car — a 2007, two-door, black Honda Accord.

Baltimore County police say a 50-year-old pizza delivery man was shot Lansdowne on Saturday evening. Police and fire personnel responded at 6:46 p.m. Sept. 28 to the 300 block of 5th Avenue, Lansdowne, and determined that the man had been approached by a suspect armed with a gun. The suspect shot the delivery man at least once. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment of serious but non-life threatening injuries, police said. There was no suspect description available, and police said detectives are continuing to investigate.

A pizza delivery driver fought off five would-be robbers with a metal pipe Friday in Glen Burnie, Anne Arundel County police said. One of the suspects assaulted the 24-year-old driver around 7:30 p.m. when he exited his vehicle to make the delivery. Five suspects approached the driver and tried to rob him. One man assaulted the victim who fought off the suspects using a metal pipe he had with him. The suspects didn't get anything from the Pizza Hut driver, police said. Several officers including a K-9 and aviation unit were called in to search the area.

A Papa John's Pizza delivery man was robbed at gunpoint and his van stolen early yesterday after he made a delivery in the 300 block of Jena Circle, Odenton, county police said.Warren Eugene Poole, 35, was heading back to his van before 1 a.m. yesterday when a man wielding a handgun approached him asking for money and keys to his van, police said.Poole gave the man $22 and his keys, and the man got into the van and drove away.Pub Date: 10/28/97

Three robbers held up a pizza delivery man in Glen Burnie Wednesday evening, county police said.Detectives said the Domino's deliveryman was making a delivery in the 6400 block of Miami Avenue at about8 p.m. when the robbers jumped from bushes.They forced him into his car, telling him to drive them to a wooded area off Arundel Corporation Road. Three men wearing black ski masks robbed a 24-year-old pizza delivery man as he walked from his car to a customer's Ellicott City home Sunday night, Howard County police said.The three suspects allegedly approached the Pizza Boli's employee in the 3500 block of Court House Drive at 9:35 p.m. Sunday and demanded his money. The men ran away after the victim complied, police said.Police do not believe this robbery is connected to the robbery of another pizza delivery man in Columbia on Saturday.

A pizza delivery man was robbed of an undisclosed amount of money Tuesday after a delivery to an apartment in the Greentree complex in Glen Burnie, county police said yesterday.Kevin Michael Tarr, 41, who delivers for Papa John Pizza, told police he was walking to his car in the 8000 block of Greenleaf Terrace just after 8 p.m. when he felt a sharp object against his back. A man with a deep voice demanded money from him and told him not to turn around, police said.After Mr. Tarr complied, the man pushed the object into his back again and told him to look straight ahead, police said.

Two Annapolis teenagers were shot outside a city public housing community, police said. Pedro Green, 18, and Thomas Penn, 19, told police that they were standing in front of 713 Newtowne Drive in the Wood- side Gardens community about 10 p.m. Friday when they heard gunshots. They ran to take cover, but Green was struck once in the buttocks, and Penn was shot in the upper leg. Neither injury was considered life-threatening. Printing worker robbed in Annapolis An employee of Frank Gumpert Printing on McGuckian Street in Annapolis was robbed at gunpoint as he headed into work, city police said.

Howard County police have arrested a 14-year-old boy in the robbery of a pizza delivery man last month outside a Columbia apartment complex. The Pizza Boli's in the 7000 block of Oakland Mills Road received an order for an apartment on Gentle Shade Road about 9:30 p.m. May 27. No one answered when the delivery arrived. On his way out, the deliveryman said, someone wearing a mask pointed a gun at him and demanded money and his cell phone. Police traced the suspect through phone records, serving a search-and-seizure warrant on the suspect's Columbia home Friday.
