Three men and a juvenile were arrested Friday night after police raided a home in Riva and confiscated PCP.Narcotics detectives, with a search and seizure warrant, said they found $1,200 worth of PCP, a sawed-off shotgun and $61 in cash inside the home in the first block of Cherry Road when they entered about 9 p.m.Michael Steven Burton, 22, who lives in the home, was charged with possession of PCP with intent to distribute. Larry Edward Turner, 21, Wayne Walter, 23, and the juvenile, described only as female, were charged with possession of drugs.

A college student pleaded guilty yesterday in Baltimore Circuit Court to possession with intent to distribute the drug PCP, a case that led authorities to what was called the largest PCP lab on the East Coast. Robert Brown, a 19-year-old student at Baltimore City Community College, could be sentenced to up to 20 years in prison and a $25,000 fine. He was arrested Nov. 20, when police caught him with 4 ounces of liquid phencyclidine, or PCP, in a vodka bottle, according to court documents.

A monthlong investigation led to the Friday arrests of five people at a Union Bridge home where police reported seizing PCP, cocaine and marijuana.Ten officers from the Carroll County Narcotics Task Force, state police and the Carroll County Sheriff's Department, with a search warrant, raided the home in the 900 block of McKinstrys Mill Road at 8 p.m., said Sgt. John Burton of the task force.Sergeant Burton said the task force confiscated a half-ounce of liquid PCP, 1.5 ounces of parsley flakes mixed with PCP, 2 ounces of marijuana, 1.5 grams of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

A former Union Bridge woman who has twice been charged with violating probation on a 15-year suspended sentence for drug distribution was ordered to prison yesterday.Carroll Circuit Judge Raymond E. Beck Sr. revoked the probation of Kimberly Ann Godfrey, 31, of Jefferson in Frederick County, ordering her to serve the original sentence.Judge Beck found her guilty of failing to notify the court of twice changing her address, of failing to report to probation officials July 18 and July 25 and of failing to complete a court-ordered drug and alcohol counseling program in Frederick County.

A New Windsor man, who twice sold PCP to an undercover drug officer while he was awaiting trial in another drug case, might be able to shorten a potential 45-year prison sentence if he is accepted into a rigorous state drug treatment program.Carroll Circuit Judge Raymond E. Beck Sr. will delay sentencing Matthew Scott Bloom, 28, of McKinstrys Mill Road, who pleaded guilty yesterday to two counts of PCP distribution and one count of possession with intent to distribute PCP.If Bloom is accepted by the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene treatment program, he will be sentenced after his treatment.

Two Westminster men and a woman were arrested and charged with four drug counts each after a raid at an apartment in the 100 block of Bond St. Thursday night.Members of the Carroll County Narcotics Task Force confiscated more than 1 ounce of marijuana and about one-eighth of an ounce of PCP (phencyclidine) from the apartment and the car of one of the men, authorities said.A District Court commissioner ordered that both men -- Todd Regan Shortley, 26, who lives in the apartment on Bond Street, and James Randolph Barton III, 22, of the 3000 block of Harter Road -- be held in the county detention center on $25,000 bond.

An autopsy has determined that drug intoxication caused the death of an Ellicott City man who collapsed on his living room floor last month, the state's deputy chief medical examiner said.James Collins, 25, of the 3700 block of St. Paul St. was pronounced dead at his home about 7 p.m. April 26, Howard County police said.His family told police that before he died, Mr. Collins was uncontrollable, and had been running and shouting outside.On May 4, toxicology results showed he died from PCP and cocaine intoxication, said Deputy Chief Medical Examiner Donald G. Wright.

Anne Arundel County police said a 44-year-old Severn man driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol struck a church with his van and they found PCP in side the vehicle. John Fox Alder of the 8000 block of Clark Station Road attempted to flee from an officer, crashing into the Korean Methodist Church of Love at 1330 Donald Ave. in Severn on Friday, police said. An officer first approached Alder's white van at about 6:30 p.m. in the 7900 block of Telegraph Road when Alder sped off into a nearby field, striking a flag pole and then the church, police said.
