I live in Baltimore and in March traveled to Vietnam with my partner. After winding our way from the southern city of Ho Chi Minh to north Vietnam, we took the luxury Victoria train to the mountain town of Sapa, near the Chinese border. The elevation and configuration of the mountains and valleys meant that the scene changed constantly from warm intense sun, to a complete white out with fog that could be seen and felt rolling up the hillsides. This shot was taken on a 30-minute walk down to Cat Cat Village, just before this cliff side municipal building was enveloped in mist right before our eyes.

Ah, what a difference one word makes! I got the word on the grapevine that the Temptations are scheduled to appear at the African-American Heritage Festival tomorrow night, and I figured Camden Yards is exactly where I'll be around 6:30 p.m. Then I read the schedule in The Sun and looked closely at the words. "The Temptations Revue featuring Dennis Edwards and Ali Woodson." Temptations Revue? Revue? You mean I won't be getting the Temps? OK, so Edwards and Woodson technically are Temps.

1 Bowl positioning: The Terps aren't going to the ACC title game, but they can ensure a good bowl game with a win over Boston College. (3:30 p.m., chs. 2, 7). 2 State pride: There are a number of big games involving state rivals, but Alabama is sitting at No. 1, and it would make Auburn's season to knock off the Tide.
