It has been 30 years since the accident, one of those tragedies that defines a musical era by silencing a singular voice.A week before she was to appear in an all-star country music show at the Baltimore Civic Center, Patsy Cline died in an airplane crash in a forest next to the Tennessee River. The date was March 5, 1963. She was 30 years old.Today, three decades after her death, her legacy endures. Patsy Cline record sales are measured in the millions annually; she is consistently one of MCA's top 10 country music sellers.

From legendary 20th-century music to comedy and dance, Infinity's artistic directors, Anna and Alan Ostroff, have offered first-rate musical entertainment in their past two seasons. Here they present the touching true story of the friendship of singer Patsy Cline and devoted fan Louise Seger that began one night in 1961.

If, like the Liz Lemon, you look for any possible distraction from Valentine's Day, perhaps a celebration of Anna Howard Shaw Day is in order. The fictional character's equally fictional holiday celebrates a very real preacher and doctor, born 166 years ago today in Newcastle-on-Tyne. Shaw was a polymath who broke boundaries, becoming both an M.D. and the country's first ordained female methodist minister. Raised in England, Massachusetts and Michigan, Shaw remembers in her autobiography an early experience around age 9 or 10 that shaped her later drive to challenge defined roles.

Pitt September 10, 1994, and they have two children. She is survived by her husband Jack; her daughter, Stephenie age 13 and son Sean age 10; also her sister, Juanita Hicks; niece, Lisa Shrewsbury and her children Kenny and Jackie; her brother George Bornman Jr., and his sons, Jeb and John Also her husband's mother Barbara Pitt. A memorial service will be held at Middle River Volunteer Ambulance Rescue Hall, 2000 Leland Avenue (off Martin Boulevard off Riverton Road)

PATSY IRENE BENNETT, age 75, passed away in Albuquerque on September 16, 2004. She was born to Irving and Josephine (Beehler) Bennett. Patsy was a member of the Hillside Community Church in Albuquerque and served many years as a nurse for the public schools. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Irving Bennett, Jr. Survivors include one brother John Bennett and wife Virginia of Pasadena, MD; one cousin, N. Thomas Williams of Milford, CT; two nieces; two nephews; three great-nieces and one great-nephew.

PATSY P. PELUSO, 88, passed away today, Tuesday, February 5, 2008, at his residence. He was a veteran in the U.S. Army during WW II and a Catholic by birth. Preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Peluso, he is survived by four sons, Kenneth Peluso (Barbara), Harry Peluso (Barbara), Ronald Peluso (Debra) and Richard Peluso; a daughter, Dorothy Harrison (Jim), eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at Greenlawn Cemetery, with Father Vincent Haut officiating.
