A Pasadena woman was killed Wednesday when she lost control of her truck on Rowe Boulevard and ran into a car stopped for a signal, county police said.Linda Lee Mrockowski, 53, of the 200 block of Dale Road was heading north on Rowe Boulevard near the ramp for U.S. 50 shortly after 2 p.m. when her 1997 Ford Ranger plowed into the rear of a 1988 Mercedes-Benz and pushed the car into a 1994 Ford Explorer, police said.The truck veered off to the left, jumped a curb and came to rest on a grass median, police said.

County police arrested a Pasadena woman Tuesday on charges of more than doubling the number of painkillers called for in a prescription.Belinda Marie Glock, 23, of the 7600 block of Cedar Drive was charged with altering a prescription and attempting to obtain drugs by fraud.Police said she tried to have falsified prescriptions for Percocet, a powerful painkiller, filled at two Revco pharmacies.In the first incident, about 1: 30 p.m. Tuesday, a woman handed Valerie Coons, a pharmacist at the Revco in the 8500 block of Fort Smallwood Road, a prescription that had been changed from 18 to 48 Percocet tablets.

A Pasadena woman was arrested Wednesday and charged with using a false prescription to obtain diet pills, county police said.Linda Sue Evans, 36, of the 100 block of North Carolina Ave. was charged with forgery.An employee of the Revco pharmacy in the 4100 block of Mountain Road called police after contacting the doctor whose name was on a prescription and found that he had not written it.Evans told police she was filling the prescription for Fastin for a cousin who lives in Pasadena.Police checked the cousin's name and found two addresses, neither in Pasadena.

A Pasadena woman was attacked outside a bar in Elizabeth Landing Wednesday and robbed of $26, county police said.Esther J. Smith, 57, who suffered cuts and severe swelling on the right side of her face, was treated at North Arundel Hospital and released.Smith told police she was getting in her car outside Beezer's, a tavern in the 7900 block of Elizabeth Road, about 7: 30 p.m. when she was struck in the face and knocked unconscious. She did not see her attacker, police said.Smith came to a few minutes later to find her purse on the ground and the money missing, police said.

Pasadena woman robbed at gunpointA Pasadena woman was robbed of her purse at gunpoint Wednesday as she was about to enter a Glen Burnie restaurant, county police said.Norma Jean Wallace, 49, of Solley Road told police she was walking from the parking lot to the Fortune Cooky Restaurant in the 7900 block of Crain Highway, when a man approached and demanded her purse.When Wallace refused to hand it over, the man pulled a black handgun from his waistband and repeated his demand, police )) said.

A Pasadena woman was choked and robbed of $84 Monday in the driveway of her house, county police said yesterday.The woman, Donna Lou Walter, 27, of the 700 block of Powhatan Beach Road, did not need medical treatment. She told police she arrived home about 6: 25 p.m. and started talking to a man whom she knew who was waiting in her driveway.The man asked her how much money she had, then grabbed her by the throat, reached into her apron, and removed $84 in cash. He was last seen running west on Powhatan Beach Road.

A Pasadena woman and a Glen Burnie man were arrested Monday on charges of trying to steal several items in separate incidents at the J.C. Penney store at Marley Station.Melissa Ann Donohue, 27, of the 700 block of 219th St. and Carl Elwood Snider III, 37, of the 100 block of Olen Drive each were charged with theft less than $300.The first incident occurred about 2 p.m. when a security officer at the store saw a woman remove a cookie jar valued at $35 from a display.When the woman tried to walk out without paying, a security officer stopped her and held her until police arrived.

A man claiming to have a gun robbed the Provident Bank branch in the 5700 block of Ritchie Highway yesterday after handing a threatening note to an employee, county police said.The man went into the Brooklyn Park bank about 11 a.m. and gave the teller a note that said, "Give me all your money. I have a handgun and I'll use it," police said.He was given several $20 bills and he fled outside to a white car, in which two other men were waiting for him, police said.The robber is described as black, between 20 and 23 years old, 5 feet 10 inches and weighing about 160 pounds.

Police arrested a Pasadena woman Tuesday and charged her with stealing $50 in coins from a Dunkin Donuts where she used to work.Melissa Lynn Dize, 19, of the 2900 block of Dungate Road was charged with theft.Margaret Ann McIntire, an employee of the store in the 8000 block of Ritchie Highway, told police a woman was in the store with two friends about 5: 30 p.m. when she went to the rest room and returned to ask Ms. McIntire to get a mop because the bathroom was flooded, police said.Ms. McIntire went to get the mop, but when she returned, she saw the woman running from behind the cash register holding something under her coat, police said.

A Pasadena woman was arrested Monday after police said she told them she drove the getaway car for three men who broke into two cars parked in a Severna Park High School lot.Principal Robert Ferguson told police that the school received a call about 12:30 p.m. reporting that someone was breaking into cars in the back lot. Mr. Ferguson and Kenneth Hook, the vice principal, went outside and saw two young men duck behind cars, police said.The young men got into a gray Dodge Aries that was driven by a woman, police said.
