A man with a knife begged a Glen Burnie restaurant clerk for money Monday night, saying he needed to leave the country."Please give me all your money," the man told the clerk at Vizzini's Pizza, in the first block of Aquahart Road.Police said the two struggled, and the clerk was cut on the hand with the knife. The man ran away without any money, police said.The clerk was treated and released from Harbor Hospital Center.PARKEDPOLICE CARS VANDALIZED MONDAYThree county police cars parked in front of officers' homes were vandalized Monday.

Police logDavidsonville: Someone smashed a driver's-side window, broke the trunk lock and damaged the back seat of a 1992 Mitsubishi Mirage parked in front of a home in the 2700 block of Spring Lakes Drive and stole stereo equipment worth more than $800. She estimated the loss at $23.A resident of Hersh Avenue told police someone slashed a tire on his auto while the vehicle was parked in front of his house Wednesday. The damage is estimated at $30.Two wooden windmills were stolen from the yards of houses in downtown Westminster on Sept. 3, police were told. The windmills, taken from yards on Lincoln Road near East Main Street, were valued at a total of $95.

Two men stole more than $900 worth of items Sunday from a car in Severna Park, county police said.Steven Polland, 47, told police his car was parked in front of his home in the 600 block of Kensington Drive when his wife heard the sound of glass breaking about 3: 15 a.m.She saw two men running away from the car and told her husband.The thieves took 40 compact discs, clothes and a pair of shoes. Survey looks at the good and bad in Severna ParkInitial results of a survey taken by the Greater Severna Park Council of area residents show that homeowners value low-density housing and single-family dwellings and also believe the neighborhood is a good place to raise a family, the council was told Tuesday.Access to water sports and the library ranked as less important on a four-point scale, said Dan Nataf, the council's public works chairman.Traffic congestion on major roadways was listed as thcommunity's most severe problem, followed by excessive growth and development and unsightly development.
