The following is compiled from police reports from the Cockeysville Precinct. Our policy is to include descriptions only when there is enough information to make identification possible. Phoenix Poplar Hill Road , 13600 block, between noon and 1 p.m. Sept. 6. A 1993 Ford F-150 pickup truck reported stolen and later returned. Sparks Falls Road , 15300 block, between 8:30 p.m. Sept. 6 and 1 p.m. Sept. 10. Padlock on garage door cut and door handle broken, but no entry gained.

Man arrested Thursday on indecent exposure chargeA man was arrested Thursday at the Savage Rocks area of the Little Patuxent River after Howard County police found him wearing nothing but his cap and sandals.Evan Wilder, 25, of Laurel was charged with indecent exposure, police said.He was released on his own recognizance early Friday, police said. No bail was set.Police logNorth Laurel: 9200 Livery Lane: A 1985 Yamaha YZ490 without license plates was stolen from the bed of a pickup truck on Wednesday night or Thursday morning.

An Anne Arundel County Detention Center inmate who suffered a broken cheekbone in an attack by another inmate filed a $2 million lawsuit yesterday claiming negligence on the part of jail officials.In his suit, filed in Anne Arundel Circuit Court, Reginald R. Brooks says jail officials gave his assailant a padlock that the man put in a sock and used to strike him on Feb. 14, 1994. The suit claims jail officials knew the inmate "had a propensity, to utilize the padlock in a negligent and unsafe manner, that was likely to cause physical harm to others."

The parents of an 18-year-old woman who was found chained in the basement of her family home were charged with assault and false imprisonment, Aberdeen police said yesterday.Sandra Corprew, 37, and Randy Dillard, 40, were accused of chaining their daughter, Lisa Dillard, to a steel column because she had been running away, police said.Police were summoned to the Woodland Green townhouse development about 3: 15 p.m. Saturday by the woman's 11-year-old brother, who took officers to the basement.

SHA starts synchronizing traffic lights along U.S. 1The State Highway Administration has begun work to synchronize traffic signals at several intersections along U.S. 1 in Howard and Prince George's counties.The traffic signals currently operate independently, creating traffic flow problems for motorists.State highway workers will install a cable that will allow the signals to operate as a single unit.The synchronization will help to improve traffic flow on three miles of U.S. 1 from Contee Road to North Laurel Road, highway officials said.

Two thousand dollars was stolen from a delivery truck parked in the 800 block of Bestgate Road in Annapolis between 3:40 p.m. and 3:55 p.m. Thursday, county police said.The Pepsi Cola truck was parked in front of the Environmental Protection Agency when the theft occurred, police said. Four money bags were in the truck: three were locked in a steel safe and one was on the floor in the cab of the truck.When the driver returned, he found all four bags gone, and the padlock of the safe open.

Baltimore County's police chief is investigating whether he can use a local padlock law to shut down a Middle River bar after a man and a woman were stabbed there in separate incidents this month, according to a department spokeswoman. In addition, police are working with the head of the county liquor board to address concerns at the bar, located in the 100 block of Earls Road. A hearing has been scheduled for Aug. 22. The latest stabbing occurred Friday about 12:45 a.m. at Boomer's Bar & Smokehouse.
