Packers over Chargers By Ken Murray Baltimore Sun The easy choice in the AFC is always Peyton Manning and the Colts. Since they blew it last year, I'm staying away. I don't think the Patriots have enough defense. I don't buy the hype on the Jets. I think the Ravens have two big issues to resolve — right tackle and cornerback. So, I'm picking the Chargers to win the AFC and reach the Super Bowl. I'm putting a lot of weight on Philip Rivers. They'll miss left tackle Marcus McNeill, but they can beat the Colts if they get that far. As for the NFC, I don't believe the Saints can win back-to-back with that defense.

Packers Big questions: Is Aaron Rodgers headed for a career year? Clay Matthews had a terrific rookie year, but is there somebody else who will step up and bolster sack numbers? Charles Woodson was the NFL's Defensive Player of the Year last season; can he continue that pace in his 13th year? How will cornerback Al Harris recover from reconstructive knee surgery at age 35? Have the Packers finally solidified their offensive line? Big moves: The window of opportunity is wide open for the Packers, who didn't do a lot of shuffling in the offseason.

After returning the opening kick to the 43-yard line, they marched 47 yards in 12 plays and chewed 6:21 off the clock. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers was 6-for-8 on the opening drive, but the Packers had to settle for a field goal after reaching the red zone. The Ravens marched right back on their first drive and reached the red zone, but running back Ray Rice fumbled.

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- If the Ravens harbored any hope of knocking off the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field on Monday night, they were going to need stellar play from their cornerbacks. That didn't really happen, as the corners were flagged three times for pass interference and the Packers scored twice through the air to enjoy a 17-0 advantage at halftime. In the first half, Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers completed 66 percent of his passes (16 of 24) for 147 yards and connected with wide receiver Donald Driver and tight end Jermichael Finley on scoring strikes of 8 and 2 yards, respectively.

GREEN BAY, Wis. - -Someday, the mantle might be passed from Ed Reed to Tom Zbikowski. Monday night, though, was not that time. Filling in for the injured five-time Pro Bowl selection at free safety, Zbikowski finished with a potentially bright but uneven performance in the Ravens' 27-14 loss to the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field. Zbikowski made four tackles and recorded his first career interception off budding superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers. But Zbikowski also was on the short end on both of tight end Jermichael Finley's touchdown catches.

GREEN BAY, Wis. - -Maybe it's appropriate that the Ravens decided to put their playoff hopes on thin ice at frigid Lambeau Field. With a lethargic performance by their offense and a penalty-filled one by their defense, the Ravens fell to the Green Bay Packers, 27-14, before a national television audience. A vulnerable secondary - safety Ed Reed (hip and ankle) was scratched about an hour before the game and cornerback Fabian Washington is on injured reserve - committed four pass-interference penalties and allowed Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers to throw for three touchdowns.
