Baltimore County police are searching for two woman who allegedly stole two bottles of vodka from a Glyndon liquor store last month. Police released images on Wednesday of two woman at The Wine Post on Railroad Avenue where one of them took two bottles of vodka off the shelf and placed them in a bag, according to a police statement. The women took off in a tan or silver Toyota Sienna van and headed toward Owings Mills Boulevard. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 410-307-2020.

As of 9 a.m. Wednesday, traffic was slow on the outer loop of I-695 near Perring Parkway, due to an accident. Accidents were slowing traffic on I-95 southbound near Route 32 in Howard County, I-95 northbound near Pulaski Highway in Baltimore County, I-795 northbound near Owings Mills Boulevard in Baltimore County, Frederick Road near Maple Avenue in Baltimore County, and the inner loop of I-695 near the Baltimore National Pike. Monument Street is closed between Wolfe Street and Patterson Park Avenue in East Baltimore, due to sinkhole repairs.

As of 9 a.m. Monday, traffic was slow on Red Run Boulevard and Owings Mills Boulevard in Baltimore County, due to an accident. An accident was slowing traffic at Liberty Road and Oakland Mills Road in Sykesville. Traffic was slow at Fulton Avenue and Pratt Street due to fire department activity. Two women jumped from the second floor of a burning rowhouse, and one may have thrown a child out of a window and into the arms of a bystander, according to the Baltimore Fire Department.

A Reisterstown man was killed in a vehicle collision Monday afternoon that closed all northbound lanes of Interstate 795 between Interstate 695 and Franklin Boulevard near Owings Mills, according to Maryland State Police. About 1:38 p.m., police responded to the northbound lanes of the highway south of Franklin Boulevard for a collision involving a passenger van and a flatbed truck. An investigation showed that traffic had slowed on the highway ahead of Vincent Thomas Dipaula, 55, who failed to slow the speed of his Ford Ecoline van, police said.

Opponents of a proposed convenience store and gas station in Owings Mills won a round in court yesterday, when a judge ordered the Baltimore County Board of Appeals to provide more information to justify its decision that zoning law permits the project.Southland Corp. has sought zoning approval for its planned 7-Eleven store with gasoline pumps at Owings Mills Boulevard and Crondall Lane.Nearby residents, with Beth Israel Congregation, have opposed the project, arguing that the 24-hours store would bring increased traffic and the potential for late-night crime to the neighborhood.

A committee of Baltimore County parents, community leaders and educators presented two proposals last night for the enrollment boundaries of the county's first new high school in 25 years. More than 275 parents packed an auditorium at Deer Park Middle Magnet School to review the proposals for New Town High School - being built to alleviate crowding at Randallstown and Owings Mills highs. The committee makes its recommendation to the school superintendent Feb. 10, and the school board is expected to decide the matter March 25. New Town will be open next school year, with up to 1,348 students.

A man was arrested yesterday after a police pursuit that began on Interstate 795 in Owings Mills, moved to the Baltimore Beltway and ended on Edmondson Avenue in Catonsville, according to Maryland State Police. Sgt. Arthur Betts said a trooper tried to pull over a 1998 Jeep for a traffic infraction about noon in the southbound lanes of I-795 at Owings Mills Boulevard. "He refused to stop," Betts said. Troopers pursued the vehicle south on the highway and onto the outer loop of Interstate 695, followed by least a dozen cruisers from the state and Baltimore County police, Betts said.
