On September 22, 2004, OLIVER D. HANSEN of Selbyville, DE, formerly of Millersville, MD, beloved husband of Mina B. Hansen, devoted father of Oliver David Hansen and Isabel Miles, loving grandfather of five grandchildren, Emily Hansen, Karen Brunk, Sarah Porter, Ryan Miles and Leigh Lebkicker and five great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late John Hansen and Isabel Hoke. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 25, at 4 P. M at the Hastings Funeral Home, 19 S. Main St., Selbyville, DE, where friends may call from 2 to 4 P.M. Interment Meadowridge Memorial Park, Elkridge, MD, on Monday, September 27 at 11 A.M. Baltimore County Councilman Kenneth Oliver is leading the Democratic primary to hold onto his District 4 seat by about 100 votes with all but provisional ballots counted. Challenger Julian E. Jones Jr. said he has congratulated Oliver but is not conceding defeat. He is considering a recount request, which he would have to file by Sept. 30. There are also about 160 provisional ballots from District 4 awaiting review next week. Jones had been trailing by a slim margin after all of the Election Day results were tallied.
