OLGA P. GAINO, 88, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2006 at her home. Among her survivors are three daughters, Gloria Willis, Joyce Jones and Janet Gaino; three sons, Joseph P. Gaino, Jr., James B. Gaino, Sr. and William F. Gaino; two sisters, one brother and four grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 1st at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home, Edenton. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Albemarle Crisis Pregnancy Center, P.O. Box 2188, Elizabeth City, NC 27909.

OLGA ASSAF WAHBE passed away on February 25, 2006 at her home in Beit Jala in the Palestinian West Bank. Born on March 23, 1904, she died just a month short of her 102nd birthday. She dedicated her life and spent sixty years educating several generations of Palestinian girls and women, first under the British Mandate, later under the Jordanian government and finally under the Israeli occupation. She served as a teacher, administrator and advisor to government and private schools. Miss Wahbe attended the British High School in Jerusalem and continued her education in the British Girls' School where she received her Teacher's Diploma.

On February 22, 2006 OLGA (nee Dragonuk) beloved wife of Russell E. Dukehart; loving mother of Audrey Leona Moody and her husband C. Douglas, Sofia Claire Reichley and her husband Charles; dear grandmother of Amelia Claire and Matthew Evan Reichley and survived by several nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held at the family owned Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 York Road (Beltway Exit 26) on Monday at 11 a.m. Interment Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens. Friends may call on Saturday and Sunday from 3-5 and 7-9.

On June 29, 2005, OLGA PAWLOWSKI beloved wife of the late Wasyl Pawlowski, devoted mother of Stephanie Pompa, Zanig, Michael and John Pawlowski, Anna Plona and the late Walter Pawlowski, also survived by 8 grandchildren. Paristas Services will be held at the family owned LILLY AND ZEILER FUNERAL HOME, 1901 Eastern Avenue, on Monday at 7:30 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church on Tuesday at 9:30 A.M. Interment in the church cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 6 to 9 P.M., only.

Olga V. Bawden, a former Eastern High School principal and longtime Gibson Island resident, died in her sleep Sunday at Roland Park Place. She was 84. Miss Bawden was born in Baltimore and raised on East North Avenue. She was a 1939 graduate of Eastern High School and earned her bachelor's degree in 1943 from Goucher College. In 1951, she earned a master's degree from the Johns Hopkins University and a special education certificate in 1956. She began her career in the 1940s teaching history and French to students at Robert E. Lee Junior High School (School 49)
