WILLIAM W. PETTWAY, Sr., age 63, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2007 at home. Mr. Pettway was born on November 17, 1943 in Baltimore, MD. He was a builder and renovator of homes. He gave his extra time to his family and friends and was a role model and mentor to many in the Essex area. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Patricia Pettway of Rising Sun, MD; sister, Dolores Pettway Battaglia of Grandy, NC; children, William W. Pettway, Jr. of Newark, DE, Christopher James Pettway of Aberdeen, MD, Michelle Pettway Auffarth of Hanover, PA and Rebecca Pettway Wright of Michigan; step-children, Noelle Anuszkiewicz of Annapolis, MD, Kenya Overstreet of Brooklyn Park, MD, Brittany Anuszkiewicz of Baltimore, MD and Jason Anuszkiewicz of Ballwin, MO; 11 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; aunt and uncle, Helen and Harold Cash; life-long friend, James Cook and mother of his children, Kathey Pettway Gorton.

On October 27, 2007, FREDERICK BRUNDICK of Abingdon, MD; beloved husband of Shirley White Brundick, devoted father of Frederick S. Brundick and wife, Susan, David W. Brundick and wife, Sharon; loving brother of Charles Brundick, Ronald Brundick and Dorothy Taylor. Also survived by granddaughter, Pamela L. Brundick. Services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Joppa, MD on Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at 11A.M. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. On October 27, 2007, MELVIN FREDERICK HENNING of Bel Air, MD; beloved husband of the late Jean Marguerite Henning; devoted father of Steven S. Henning and his wife Sharon, Nancy J. Charvat and her husband James and Denise L. Lynch and her husband Richard; loving brother in-law of Crystal McWilliams, Joyce Smith and Lynn Henning. Also survived by two grandchildren, Jessica Comegys and Jason Comegys and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, Joppa, MD on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at 11 A.M. PHIL K. PLATT, died suddenly on October 10, 2007 in North Carolina. His survivors include his companion Nancy Carlson, his children Ken, Wendy, Mike and four grandchildren.
