You never get into an argument with a Latin woman! In the final night of the battle rounds, the coaches watched the final performances, made their final steals, and completed their teams. In just one hour, the competition heats up with the judges selecting only the best to move on to the knock out rounds. Team Shakira: Brandon Roush vs. Shawna P. "Piece of My Heart," Janis Joplin It was the battle between youth vs. experience as special needs counselor Brandon Roush faced vintage rock goddess Shawna P. With both being very intense singers, their rendition of Janis Joplin's “Piece of My Heart” surprised the coaches with the amazing chemistry (and Shawna's ability to make everyone feel that it was indeed Ms. Joplin on stage.)

Yay! It's Stevie Wonder night! I'm pretty stoked about this. The show starts with Stevie at the top of the stage in front of an elaborately fantastic backdrop. There are dancers, but we get A LOT of extended Stevie close-ups. I guess it's easier to do that when the singer can actually, you know, sing. Then Hunter Hayes comes out and I'm sure he's a nice kid and all, but next to Stevie Wonder ... eh. I mean, not a lot of people are going to come off well in that comparison. I'd say even for a guy that was a Beatle and IS a knight had a rough go of it. Tom joins Stevie and Hunter on stage and Tom says, “We are so happy to have you here on Stevie Wonder night.

No. 12 Washington College's 7-6 come-from-behind win against No. 5 and reigning national champion Salisbury on Wednesday night may prove to be a psychological lift for a program that had dropped 12 straight contests to the Sea Gulls. Perhaps more immediately, the victory might propel to the Shoremen (11-2) to their second consecutive appearance in the NCAA tournament regardless of how they fare in the Centennial Conference tournament. With a 4-2 record in the league, Washington is currently third behind conference leaders Dickinson (12-0 overall and 5-0 in the Centennial)

The second night of the intense Battle Rounds took place last night. Coaches Blake, Adam, Usher and Shakira were forced to make tough decisions while assembling the teams they believe hold "the Voice. " Night two held no punches as some judges praised some contestants and others not so much. I think Usher is still trying to figure what Jeff Lewis thought was so hilarious during rehearsals. *insert scowling Usher eyebrow* Team Adam: Michael Austin vs. Warren Stone, “My Kind of Party” by Jason Aldean It was the battle of the civil service men as Deputy Sheriff Michael Austin (and his black cowboy hat)

NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said on his Twitter page today that the league is expected to release its regular-season schedule Thursday night at 8 p.m. The unveiling is expected to be made on NFL Network. It was initially expected that the schedule would be released today, but it's been delayed for two days. The Ravens will open on the road after they couldn't work out a scheduling compromise with the Orioles on the night of Sept. 5. The Denver Broncos are believed to be their most likely opponent that night, but the Pittsburgh Steelers and Chicago Bears are also possibilities.

The annual Lyrid meteor shower peaks next week, but a few of the "shooting stars" may be visible as early as Tuesday night, before a nearly full moon outshines the show. The meteors are expected from about April 16 to April 25, with a peak around April 22. But given that the full moon arrives April 25, some of the meteors may be too faint to see during the peak. The show isn't the most dramatic of the year to begin with. The Lyrids are known to show up at a rate of 10-20 per hour at the peak, though that's on a moonless night, according to EarthSky.org . Meteor showers occur when Earth passes through the paths of rubble left behind by comets.

The final score was a bummer for the Orioles: Yankees 3, O's 0 in the rubber match of the three-game series. And the weather in Yankee Stadium was chilly and breezy, better suited for football. But the Orioles had so many nice things said about them in their first nationally televised Sunday night game in five seasons that they probably hated to leave the Bronx. As The Baltimore Sun's Ed Encina reported, Orioles such as center fielder Adam Jones made it clear they understood this was not just another game . "It's 'Sunday Night Baseball,'" Jones said.
