The Philadelphia Wings of the National Lacrosse League today acquired former Johns Hopkins All-American Paul Rabil from the Rochester Knighthawks as part of a blockbuster six-player trade that sends Wings forward Dan Dawson and defenseman Paul Dawson to the Knighthawks. An uneven season became even rockier after Mount St. Mary's dropped its Northeast Conference (NEC) opener to Quinnipiac Saturday. While the 12-8 score was surprising, what was even more stunning was that the reigning league champion Mountaineers (3-5 overall and 0-1 in the NEC) fell to a Bobcats squad (2-6, 1-0) that had opened the season with six consecutive losses. “It's conference, man, and it's a whole new ballgame,” Mount St. Mary's coach Tom Gravante said Tuesday morning.

When she plays lacrosse, Mount St. Mary's midfielder Nicole Price still has that excited, little-kid look in her eyes. She just loves the game. Maybe that's because the North Harford graduate has switched through a number of sports during her high school and college careers, keeping each one new and fun. She even took her junior year off from varsity sports to pursue her passion for snowboarding with a winter semester in Utah. Price came back to lacrosse for her senior year this spring refreshed and ready for a breakout season.
