C. Lloyd Carpenter, vice president of international operations and marketing for Northrop Grumman Corp., died of complications from a blood clot June 2 at the University of Maryland Greenebaum Cancer Center. The Federal Hill resident was 61. Born in Baltimore and raised in Catonsville, Mr. Carpenter was a graduate of Catonsville High School and earned a doctor of laws degree from the University of Baltimore in 1967. He also completed a senior managers program at Harvard University. Mr. Carpenter began his career in 1962 at Westinghouse Electric Corp.
