Milton Wright wrestling match beforehand, the Mustangs figured to be six- to 10-point favorites. But Mustangs coach Carl Holston knows he can't plan on anything against Fallston. In the four years that Holston has coached the Mustangs, they hadnever beaten Fallston in a dual meet. The Mustangs last beat Fallston in 1985 when the Mustangs had four county champs. This time, Fallston forfeited 12 points, and the Mustangs appeared ready to break the streak. But the Cougars got a couple of unexpected wins early and crucial decisions from Derek Schwarz at 140 pounds and Jared McCarthyat 152 to beat C. Milton Wright, 31-23, Wednesday night.

During the last four weeks, C. Milton Wright has become one of the hottest boys basketball teams in the county. With Wednesday night's62-58 upset of Fallston, the Mustangs have run up a 5-2 record through their last seven games.Unfortunately for the Mustangs (8-11 overall, 5-7 league), that season-ending rally won't be enough to carry them into the regional playoffs.Because of a playoff system that awards points for victories over teams in a higher classification, C. Milton Wright is at a disadvantage.

For the first time in the history of the school, C. Milton Wright is celebrating an undefeated football season. The Mustangs rolled over Fallston, 40-0, Thursday night to finish their season at 10-0 and win the Harford County championship. Aberdeen (8-2, 7-1) took second place in the county after routing Havre de Grace, 50-12, Thursday night. With nobody over 6 feet tall, the Mustangs don't look that overpowering, but they wore down their opponents with a steady ground game and tough defensive line play.

C. Milton Wright's high-powered offense appeared to be its ticket to a first ever county championship. But goalie Andy Wishart stole the show Friday night. The senior goalie made 19 saves, many spectacular, in an 8-5 victory over North Harford Friday night at C. Milton Wright. The Hawks' defense, especially goalie Brian Ende with 18 saves, did a good job of holding back the Mustang attack. But the Hawks' offense couldn't put much past Wishart."He won the game for 'em. He had to have at least a half dozen one-on-one saves," said North Harford coach John Grubb.

Fallston midfielder Penelope Fantis showed her creative side in the first half and resourcefulness in the second to help lead the visiting Cougars to a 2-1 victory over Harford County rival C. Milton Wright in girls soccer last night. Fantis opened the scoring with a perfectly placed one-time finish from 15 yards, running onto a ball sent across from Amanda Zamora. After the No. 6 Mustangs tied the score early in the second half, Fantis followed up a direct kick on goal by Monica Fischer, pouncing on the rebound from in close for the eventual game-winner before the No. 3 Cougars protected their lead for the final 30 minutes.

It appears C. Milton Wright's two-year reign atop the county tennis world is about to end.A 7-4 loss to Bel Air on Tuesday dropped the Mustangs (11-2) one match behind the Bobcats, who have only seemingly overmatched Havre de Grace, Edgewood and North Harford remaining on their schedule that now appears destined to end with the county crown. In its only loss, Bel Air fell to C.M. Wright, 6-5, in their first meeting. But the Bobcats went on to sweep both matches from fellow contender Fallston -- which earlier dealt C.M. Wright what now appears to be a critical loss -- before defeating C.M. Wright in Tuesday's showdown.
