Jr., Michael and Jerry Mueller, loving grandmother of Christine, Dena, Bobby, Ricky, Brian and Jennifer, great-grandmother of Joshua, Jordan, Jeffrey, Brittney and little Bobby, dear friend of Bernard King. A Catholic Prayer Service will be held at the family owned Duda-Ruck Funeral Home of Dundalk Inc., 7922 Wise Avenue on Monday at 10 A.M. Interment the Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery.

Peter Ginsberg, the attorney for ex-Ravens running back Ray Rice, praised former U.S. District Court Judge Barbara S. Jones, the hearing officer for Rice's appeal of an indefinite NFL suspension. Jones was appointed Thursday by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell in consultation with NFL Players Association executive director DeMaurice Smith to hear the appeal of Rice. Rice's two-game suspension was increased to an indefinite ban on Sept. 8 after a video surfaced of him punching his then-fiancee in a casino elevator.

Et cetera Resch to coach Team USA at indoor lacrosse worlds Former Chesapeake Bayhawks assistant coach Tony Resch has been named head coach of the U.S. team for the 2015 Federation of International Lacrosse World Indoor Championship. Resch helped the then-Baltimore Bayhawks to the Major League Lacrosse title in 2003 and coached on league champion teams in 2012 and 2013. Adam Mueller , who played with the Baltimore Thunder of the National Lacrosse League, will be the offensive assistant coach of the U.S. squad.

Mary Elizabeth Walsh and Markus Paul Mueller were married in the chapel at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Glyndon, MD on September 13, 2008. The Reverend Monsignor Lloyd E. Aiken performed the ceremony during a nuptial mass. The bride is the daughter of Celeste H. and Francis X. Walsh, Jr. of Westminster, MD and the groom is the son of Rosa and Adolf Mueller of Hilton Head Island, SC and Wernberg, Austria. The bride, who wore an ivory organza and lace gown, was given in marriage by her father.

Sister Lois Mueller, a Sister of Mercy whose career as a teacher and administrator took her to parochial schools in Baltimore, Washington and Georgia, died Wednesday of pneumonia at the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center. She was 98. "I have known Sister Lois since the 1960s, when she was my superior at St. Bernardine's on Gorsuch Avenue, and she was always a very great lady," said Sister Faith McKean of the Sisters of Mercy. "She was very gentle - but could be determined - but very gentle.

Frances H. Mueller, a retired educator who had chaired the Bryn Mawr School's English department and also taught at Towson University, died March 24 of complications from dementia at Roland Park Place. She was 94. Born and raised on her parents' farm in Painesville, Ohio, Frances Heckathorne was a graduate of local public schools. After earning a bachelor's degree in 1939 from Lake Erie College, Mrs. Mueller taught English from 1943 to 1946 at Pennsylvania State University in State College, Pa. While at Penn State, she earned a master's degree in English from Columbia University in 1945, and the next year married William Randolph Mueller, a philosopher, clergyman, literary historian and author.

Harry E.G. Mueller, a retired design engineer and World War II veteran, died Saturday of respiratory failure at Bonnie Blink, the Maryland Masonic Home. The former longtime Dundalk resident was 93. The son of a gymnastics teacher and a homemaker, Mr. Mueller was born in Baltimore and raised on Federal Street. After graduating from Polytechnic Institute in 1937, he worked as a draftsman for the old Glenn L. Martin Co. in Middle River. In 1941, Mr. Mueller married the former Anna L. Hacker, and the couple moved to the Watersedge community in eastern Baltimore County and later to Dundalk, where they raised their three daughters.

Opponents of the luxury island compound built by Daryl C. Wagner without Anne Arundel County permission asked a state appeals court this week to return the dispute to the county Board of Appeals for further hearings, contending that they did not get a fair shake when Wagner belatedly sought approvals for the construction. But lawyers for Wagner and the county told the Court of Special Appeals that there was nothing to gain by having more than the 24 hearings already held that ended with the board allowing Wagner to keep his house and replica lighthouse on Little Dobbins Island, but ordering him to raze most of the rest of his construction, including a swimming pool.

Todd Mueller has been promoted to branch manager for the Gateway Plaza office of The Columbia Bank, in Columbia. He previously was the associate branch manager of the bank's Ellicott City office. Mueller has been with The Columbia Bank since 2004. Mueller will oversee the day-to-day banking operations of the Gateway Plaza Office, develop new business opportunities and integrate the bank into programs and initiatives that benefit the local community. Musu-mesi Davies has been promoted to branch manager for the Clinton office of The Columbia Bank, in Prince George's County.

Carol Lee Mueller, a volunteer and retired secretary, died May 26 of cancer at Gilchrist Hospice Care. She was 77. Carol Lee Gittings, the daughter of a barber and a homemaker, was born in Baltimore and raised in the city's Raspeburg neighborhood. She was a 1952 graduate of Clara Barton Vocational-Technical High School. After high school, she worked as a secretary at Central Metal and Supply Co. and later U.S. Fidelity and Guaranty Co. She left the workforce to raise her children and, after they were grown, she worked as a clerk at the old Stewart's department store on York Road, and later for the Mulligan Insurance Agency in Rodgers Forge, before retiring in the 1990s.
