Baltimore police yesterday identified 16-year-old Tyonda Roland of Dundalk as the motorcycle passenger who was killed when the vehicle crashed into a turning car in South Baltimore while being pursued by authorities Thursday night.Roland, of the 2000 block of Paulette Road, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which occurred about 10: 40 p.m. on West Bay Avenue in Brooklyn, police said.They said the operator of the motorcycle, William Nord Colbert, 20, of the 7800 block of Willing Court in Pasadena, Anne Arundel County, was in serious condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center yesterday.

A 14-year-old girl riding on the back of a motorcycle was killed Thursday when her father lost control on a curve in Harford County and crashed into a van, a Maryland State Police spokesman said. Lauryn Marie Little and her father, Brian Ross Little, 42, were thrown from his Harley-Davidson after it rammed into the rear of a van at an intersection in Darlington shortly before 5 p.m., according to the police report of the accident. The girl was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, where she was pronounced dead.

A Baltimore man died early Sunday in a motorcycle crash near Routes 100 and 104 in Ellicott City, Maryland State Police said yesterday. Jonathan Christopher Mitchell, 29, of the 100 block of Broadway was driving his motorcycle west on Route 100 about 2:15 a.m. when he lost control and struck a median guardrail, police said. Mitchell, who was wearing a helmet, was found dead at the scene. The investigation is continuing.

A Pasadena man was killed Tuesday evening when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed on westbound Route 100 in Glen Burnie, Maryland State Police said. Kenneth Edward Duncan, 21, sustained fatal injuries after his Suzuki motorcycle failed to round a curve, striking the right guardrail and flipping several times, a police spokesman said yesterday. State police said Duncan was wearing a helmet but may have been speeding at the time of the crash, according to a news release. He was pronounced dead after being flown to Maryland Shock Trauma Center at about 6 p.m. Police were continuing to investigate the crash yesterday.

Keith lets Ralph ride on his toy motorcycle, resulting in various misadventures.

There you have the "Timonium Motorcycle Races," a short-track racing event that takes place tomorrow, Saturday and Dec. 21 inside the Cow Palace at the Timonium Fairgrounds. The races are open to riders ages 6 to 60, with heats based on size of motorcycle and riders' age. You say you're not brave enough to perform such a feat and would much rather just watch the action?

A motorcyclist was killed early yesterday morning in Pasadena when he was thrown from his vehicle and hit a tree. William Clyde Turner, 28, of the 1800 block of Fox Hollow Run was found dead about 100 feet from his 1996 Harley-Davidson Sportster by Anne Arundel County police Officer James Schreiber about 2:30 a.m., according to a police report. Earlier, Officer Joseph Larkin had reported seeing a motorcycle going west on Fort Smallwood Road at speeds of over 100 mph. Larkin followed the motorcycle, but lost track of it. Schreiber was helping Larkin search for the motorcyclist when he found Turner next to a tree along Fox Hollow Run off Fort Smallwood Road.

A 50-year-old Woodbine man was in critical condition in the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore yesterday after a motorcycle accident sent him sliding along Route 97 in Glenelg Sunday, Howard County police said.According to traffic investigators, John Vincent, 50, of Mullinix Mill Road was riding his motorcycle north on Route 97 about 1 a.m. Sunday when he lost control of the vehicle and fell off. He and his bike slid down the roadway and off the northbound shoulder of the road, police said.
