On April 14, 2005, KAREN ANNHOWLETT, 40, of Felton, PA., wife of Rodney J. Howlett Sr., whom she married on August 14, 2004; mother of Bethany Ann Epperson, daughter of Ralph A., and Kriehild E. "Chris" (Krokowski) Nelson; sister of Carla L. Martin and Michael A. Nelson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews. Karen was an EMT with the Baltimore County Fire Department at Station 14, in Brooklynville. She was a former Girl Scouts of America troop leader, an avid gardener and enjoyed the outdoors.
