When the World Series gets under way Saturday, it will be the first game in almost a week for the Minnesota Twins, who wrapped up the American League pennant last Sunday. Will the six-day layoff adversely affect the Twins? Or have the days of leisurely workouts enabled them to relax and nurse any injuries they may have had, making them an even stronger force in the World Series? To register your opinion, call SUNDIAL at 783-1800 (or 268-7736 in Anne Arundel County) today through midnight. After you hear the greeting, you'll be asked to punch in a four-digit code on your touch-tone phone.

The week off will help, not hinder, the Minnesota Twins, according to the majority of respondents to "It's Your Call" yesterday.Asked whether having six days off before the World Series opener tomorrow night against the Atlanta Braves would make the American League champions rusty or ready, nearly three out of four of the 185 respondents said the Twins would benefit from the layoff. Only 29 percent (54 callers) said the Twins would be rusty, whereas 71 percent (131) said the Twins would be ready.
