Jones, brother-in-law of Simon Jones, both of Charlottesville, VA; brother-in-law of Alison Barnett and her husband Barry Barnett, of Montclair, NJ; dear uncle of Trevor and Emma Barnett. Also survived by many dear cousins and friends. Services at Old St. Paul's, Charles St, 2 P.M., on Tuesday, April 19, 2005.

Much of the charm of Fells Point is found in its narrow back alleys and side streets - contributing to the area's original grid from land purchased by William Fell in the early 1700s. Many of the homes on these streets date to the mid-18th to 19th centuries, as the community began to flourish. Katy Greene Davis and her husband, Michael Davis, bought one of these three-story brick rowhouses on such an alley off Lancaster Street in 1994. "It was two apartments when we bought it for $82,500," Greene Davis said.

Michael Davis has been named Chief Executive Officer of G. Cefalu Bro. and Capital Seaboard, in Jessup, and will begin to oversee the operations of both companies. Davis brings more than 20 years of experience in high growth foodservice and distribution. He previously served as CEO of Cal Atlantic; Senior Vice President and Partner of Coastal Sunbelt Produce; was a member of the Maryland Restaurant Association Board of Directors; and was the Vice President of Capital Seaboard.

A teen-ager injured Sunday in a crash on Interstate 95 near Columbia died yesterday at Johns Hopkins Hospital, a hospital spokeswoman said.Jason Michael Davis, 15, of Philadelphia, who suffered severe head injuries, died about 6: 30 p.m., said Joann Rodgers, the spokeswoman.Another teen-ager, Joy Nichole Stith, 15, also of Philadelphia, died at the scene of the crash.According to state police at the Waterloo Barracks, a Mercury Villager minivan with eight occupants and driven by Jason's father, Michael Davis, 44, of Philadelphia, was southbound on I-95 about 8: 10 a.m. Sunday and was nearing the Route 175 exit ramp when the vehicle left the roadway and overturned against a guardrail.

Michael Howard Davis, a lawyer and partner with Venable LLP in Towson who earlier had been a political adviser, strategist and aide to former Baltimore County Executive C.A. Dutch Ruppersberger and former Sen. Paul S. Sarbanes, died Thursday of complications from a liver transplant at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He was 49. "I think Michael had the most brilliant political mind in the state of Maryland if not the country. He had a knack for recognizing upcoming political trends," said Mr. Ruppersberger, now a congressman from Maryland's 2nd District.

Muppet characters like Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Oscar the Grouch, Bert and Ernie, and Elmo seem like family. And that, Michael Davis explains in Street Gang, The Complete History of Sesame Street, is no small feat. As Davis, a former editor for TV Guide and The Baltimore Sun, tells it, this program changed the course of not only children's television programming but also of social and cultural history.

James Michael Davis Sr., a career railroad locomotive engineer and outdoorsman, died of cancer Wednesday at Carroll Hospice's Dove House in Westminster. He was 61 and lived in Sykesville. Mr. Davis was born in Baltimore and raised in Parkville. He was a 1965 graduate of Mergenthaler Vocational-Technical High School. He worked as an office worker, auto mechanic and at the old F&M Schaefer Brewing Co. in East Baltimore before taking a job as a brakeman in 1978 at what was then the Chessie System, predecessor of today's CSX. After completing engineer's school, Mr. Davis entered engine service in 1979.

Two Maryland high school students were among the top winners named last night in a prestigious nationwide science competition sponsored by Intel Corp. Myers Abraham Davis, 17, a senior at Polytechnic Institute in Baltimore, placed seventh in the Intel Science Talent Search competition for his computer science project that produced more accurate physical simulations, earning a $20,000 scholarship. Yuan "Chelsea" Zhang, 17, a student at Montgomery Blair High School in Rockville, won third- place honors and a $50,000 scholarship.
