A Kentucky high school athletic director is being held without bond in Baltimore after a woman accused him of sexually assaulting her in a home he rented here. Baltimore Police arrested Michael Campbell, Whitley County High School's athletic director, Jan. 22 on allegations that he gave a woman drugs, then performed sex acts on her in the 1000 block of Hunter St. Police said Campbell knew the woman. The accuser said she and Campbell began drinking and that she took a narcotic tablet that Campbell gave her, according to a report from police.

A lieutenant with the Baltimore Fire Department who was badly burned during an early-morning fire in East Baltimore on Oct. 11 has recovered enough to be taken off of a ventilator but still has a long way to go in his recovery, according to a union official. "He was able to talk to me. We were able to have a conversation," Michael Campbell, president of the fire officers union, said of his recent visit with the officer at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. "He was still somewhat sedated.

The alleged head of a gang that police say sold more than $5,000 worth of drugs daily in Baltimore's Reservoir Hill area was arrested last night.Agent Michael Campbell, a spokesman for the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, said authorities arrested Carl Michael Cannady, 28, of no fixed address, about 9 p.m. in a dwelling in the 5000 block of Dickey Hill Road in Southwest Baltimore.Campbell said Cannady had been sought since he was indicted on federal drug and weapons charges in September.
