Baltimore County police said Friday that a woman found dead in her Dundalk home earlier this week was the victim of a homicide. According to police, at about 11:45 p.m. Wednesday, a friend visiting Leslie Jo Rassmussen in the 7100 block of Holabird Ave. called for assistance for a cardiac arrest. Upon arrival, police found Rassmussen, 48, deceased. After an autopsy, Rasmussen's death was ruled a homicide, but police did not provide further details. Police do not have any suspects nor do they know of a motive for the killing.

Baltimore County Police are asking the public for information about the fatal shooting of a Dundalk tavern owner early Saturday morning. Robert Lee Martin, 43, was leaving Hop's Inn in the 7000 block of Railway Avenue after locking up at about 2:22 a.m. when he was confronted outside by two men, said Lt. Robert McCullough, a spokesman for Baltimore County Police. Martin was shot multiple times in the upper body, the spokesman said. Baltimore County police have identified a man who died after he was shot Friday night in Halethorpe, a department spokesman said. Reginald Keith Mack Jr., 24, of the 3800 block of McDowell Lane was standing in that block at 11:48 p.m. Friday when a suspect walked up to him and shot him multiple times in the chest, said police Lt. Robert McCullough. Mack was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was pronounced dead at 12:37 a.m., McCullough said. According to Maryland court records, Mack was scheduled to appear in Baltimore County Circuit Court in June on handgun and assault charges.

Baltimore County police are looking for a man who raped a 19-year-old woman in the laundry room of a Pikesville apartment building. The woman was followed into an apartment building in the 4400 block of Old Court Road, when she was grabbed and forced into a laundry room, where she was raped. Police said the attack occurred about 7:30 p.m. Monday. The woman called a friend and was taken to Greater Baltimore Medical Center. Baltimore County police continue to search for a prisoner who was mistakenly released from the county's detention center Monday. Kevin Taron Kent, 26, was released by staff at the detention center, according to a news release from the Police Department. He was arrested Friday for narcotics violations and had been denied bail, according to police. Kent's last known address is in the 3300 block of Orlando Ave. in Baltimore. Police describe him as a black male, 5 foot 9, 190 pounds, with short black hair and brown eyes.

A Baltimore County resident died early Saturday morning after he was shot Friday night at an Owings Mills apartment complex, police said Sunday. According to Baltimore County Police Lt. Robert McCullough, the shooting took place in the unit block of Straw Hat Road in the Morningside Apartments. The victim was Moses Baker, 22, a resident of an apartment at that address. According to McCullough, officers responded to a call at 11:07 p.m. Friday and found the victim lying just inside his apartment, shot in the upper body.

A 29-year-old man remained in critical condition Wednesday at Maryland Shock Trauma Center after being assaulted over the weekend outside a Baltimore County bar. Police officers from the Woodlawn precinct who responded to a call about an assault outside the Corinthian Lounge & Restaurant early Saturday found the victim suffering from severe head wounds, according to a statement issued Wednesday by the department. Detectives said that two suspects may have followed the man out of the bar on the 7100 block of Windsor Mill Road and beaten him. No motive has been determined for the attack.
