49ers@Cardinals 8:30 p.m. [ESPN] Expect much of the focus to be on San Francisco coach Mike Singletary and Tony Kornheiser to make at least one dropping-the-pants joke (most likely better than the one in the "5 things" on the previous page). Arizona quarterback Kurt Warner (right) is experiencing a second childhood, helped by a stellar receiving corps. Who's Matt Leinart?

Matt Leinart has some explaining to do. The Arizona Cardinals quarterback exhibited some questionable judgment recently. That would be to have a party at his home in the Valley of the Sun that included the following: Girls. Beer bong. Girls. Hot tub. Girls. (Sigh) camera. And through the magic of the Internet, you can be a guest at Matt Leinart's house party. Apparently, Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt took a peek on the Internet and characterized his reaction as "disappointed."

LOS ANGELES -- So, now we get to find out whether it comes down to star power or statistical superiority. Do you believe the hype or stick to the numbers and try not to get too hypothetical? The USC Trojans are Hollywood's Team, featuring matinee idol Matt Leinart and action superstar Reggie Bush in a big-budget production that could break all box-office records tonight in the Bowl Championship Series title game. The Texas Longhorns are more of a reality show, with the highest-scoring offense in the nation and a defense that is ranked so far ahead of USC that it's hard to figure out how the Trojans could be favored by a touchdown.

MIAMI - They come from different parts of the country, throw with different arms and have taken different paths to tomorrow's Bowl Championship Series national title game in the Orange Bowl at Pro Player Stadium. Oklahoma quarterback Jason White and his Southern California counterpart, Matt Leinart, share one significant achievement that has become something of an albatross for many in the same position. A year ago, White became the latest Heisman Trophy winner to fail in his quest to win a national title game that season, joining a list that includes Miami's Gino Torretta and Vinny Testaverde, Florida State's Chris Weinke and Nebraska's Eric Crouch.

Just my luck that I'll be covering the Preakness in a couple of weeks and professional ethics prohibit me from betting the plush Millersville estate on Edgar Prado and Barbaro. There hasn't been a sure thing like this since that old guy told Anna Nicole Smith he was worth a billion dollars. Nobody is going to mistake me for a horse racing guru - I've lost enough money at the track to buy Paris Hilton an offensive line to go with new quarterback boyfriend Matt Leinart - but when I saw Barbaro shoot out of the final turn at Churchill Downs on Saturday, I knew that the Triple Crown already was a foregone conclusion.

LOS ANGELES -- There was a moment yesterday when Reggie Bush seemed human. It came in the first quarter of Southern California's 66-19 demolition of cross-town rival UCLA at the Coliseum. Bush, looking back into the sun, dropped a short swing pass from quarterback Matt Leinart. More inside Texas crushes Colorado, 70-3, for Big 12 title, spot in title game. PG 7D
