Slots revenue from Maryland's two casinos declined in June for the second straight month, dropping 5 percent to $12.61 million, the Maryland Lottery reported Tuesday. Hollywood Casino Perryville, the larger of the two, brought in some $784,000 less than in May. The 1,500-machine casino, which opened in September, took in $8.82 million, down from $9.61 million the previous month. The casino generated an average of $196.05 per machine per day in June. The decline at Perryville was offset in part by revenue increases at the smaller Casino at Ocean Downs, which took in nearly $3.78 million last month, up from $3.69 million in May. Sales at the 750-machine Eastern Shore casino have steadily increased since it opened in January.

The Mega Millions jackpot has increased in size to $304 million for Friday's drawing, according to the Maryland Lottery. There were no winners of the $244 million jackpot in Tuesday's drawing, although there was one ticket sold in Maryland among the 26 that matched five numbers, said lottery spokeswoman Carole Everett. That ticket, which is worth $250,000, was sold at Friendship Liquors in Howard County's West Friendship. Everett encouraged those who play the lottery to check their tickets and to bring them in if they match several numbers.

The Ravens will join forces with the Maryland Lottery for a second straight year, offering a scratch-off game in which players can win more than $11 million in Ravens-related prizes, officials said Monday. Ravens president Dick Cass appeared with Stephen Martino, director of the Maryland Lottery, at the team's training camp in Westminster Monday to unveil the game, Ravens Cash Fantasy, which Martino said should generate a net revenue of about $2.5 million for the state. More than 116,000 people played the inaugural version of the game last year, making it the best-selling $5 scratch-off in the lottery's history, Martino said.
