Hannah sits, uncomfortably, for an interview for a freelance gig with a website called jazzhate.com. The blonde interviewer suggests she write about a threesome, or doing cocaine, and then points to a sign on the wall indicating where your comfort zone is (outside the circle), to which Hannah responds, "Uh huh. Okay. " The girls are having a yard sale (which in Brooklyn is more of a street sale) and Hannah asks Marnie where she could actually procure said cocaine. Answer: Laird, her weird junkie neighbor.

Dear Lena Dunham, thank you.  Thank you for giving your characters some happiness. Thank you for this bumpy, ugly, imperfect sophomore season. Thank you for showing us everyone's low points and high points. Thank you for not apologizing for being messy and erratic, but most importantly, thank you for giving your audience a small smidgen of a quasi-somewhat happy ending on Sunday night. I knew it wouldn't be a Busby Berkeley musical happy ending, but I was hoping for a little nugget of hope, and I got it. I was not expecting to hold my hands over my mouth and wipe away tears tonight, but Dunham gave that to me and for that, I thank her. Hannah is still reeling from her aural injury and is holed up in her apartment, without a sentence written.

In which we watch everything start to unravel. Adam and Natalia's relationship is going swimmingly. They have a lovely, tender first first-time-in-the-bedroom conversation wherein they are open and communicative and sweet. “I like how clear you are with me,” he says as they kiss. Her reply: “What other way is there?” Hannah, meanwhile, is still in the throes of her severe OCD relapse. It's not clear whether she's taking her meds or not, but from all appearances she's no better than she looked last week.

The "it" in question is Hannah's OCD, which apparently was a serious problem when she was in high school. With the first real deadline for her e-book on the horizon, she's regressing into obsessive behaviors, namely counting to eight. A lot. She counts her steps, she counts her potato chips, she counts how many times she chews her potato chips. She's teetering on completely falling apart and she looks exhausted. Luckily for her, her parents are in town for the weekend for a conference and to catch Judy Collins in concert.

Don't even know how that ended up in my room," announces Hannah, looking for all the world like Divine in "Hairspray" in her Granny muumuu. Elijah announces he will not be paying this month's rent, but Hannah is coming out the winner as George (Elijah's ex-Sugar Daddy) has told her she can keep all of Elijah's belongings that he paid for which is ... everything.
