The following is compiled from police reports from the Towson and Cockeysville precincts. Our policy is to include descriptions when there is enough information to make identification possible. An intruder stole a computer and jewelry from a residence in the 6200 block of Falls Road, after kicking in a rear kitchen door to gain entry, police reports state. According to the report, the intruder entered the home between 8:30 a.m. and 1:54 p.m. ransacked several rooms stole the items and fled.

Aspern Drive,  6600 block, 11:54 p.m. March 17. Suspects gained entry to residence via unknown means. Karlin Lamont Harris, 23, of Pirch Way in Elkridge; Steven Lee Hubbard, 29, of Edgewater; and, Jessie Tyler Holt, 22, of Pine Tree Road in Jessup, each charged with fourth-degree burglary. In other news from the Crime Log: Ellicott City Frederick Road, 9000 block, 2:05 a.m. March 23. Man kicked in an acquaintance's door after verbal altercation.

Light tackle jigging Tuesday, March 11: Captain "Walleye Pete" Dahlberg will speak to the Northwest Chapter of the Maryland Saltwater Sportfishing Association about honing light tackle jigging skills. Local elementary and middle-school students performed in the Children's Choir at the Organization of American Kodaly Educators (OAKE) national conference in Hartford, Conn., March 20- 23. The students, representing Riderwood Elementary School, Dumbarton Middle School, Ridgely Middle School, and The Bryn Mawr School, were among 458 talented singers chosen from across the nation. These young singers performed the culminating concert at The First Cathedral on Saturday, March 23 after four days of rigorous practice with their conductors.

A warm-up to seasonable early spring weather is in the forecast for this weekend, but rain could arrive for any egg hunts and picnics scheduled for Easter Sunday. Saturday is forecast to be a nice day to be outside, with highs around 60, calm winds and clear, sunny skies. Temperatures could stay as mild for Easter Sunday, as well, but any Easter egg hunts set for around midday or later could be wet. A 60 percent chance of showers is forecast from around noon into the evening, according to the National Weather Service.

Maryland's stocking program will supply some 400,000 rainbow and brown trout for recreational anglers in many areas of the state this spring through a schedule of releases that continues into May.State hatcheries, which were placed behind schedule by flooding in January and September of last year, were pressed to produce the annual complement of trout.However, according to DNR, additional hatchery personnel was hired and feeding rates were increased to produce the stocks."Anglers should be pleased with the overall size of these fish," said Bob Lunsford, director of the Restoration and Enhancement Division of the state's Fisheries Service.

The Harford County Department of Community Services Volunteer Harford program has announced that fifth annual Volunteer Expo is planned Saturday, March 23, from 9 a.m. to noon at Patterson Mill Middle-High School, 85 Patterson Mill Road, in Bel Air. The Volunteer Expo will feature numerous vendors looking for volunteers. The Expo provides an opportunity to hear from and learn about local organizations and agencies about available volunteer jobs.
