A burglar stole a truck and used it to take 2,142 cases of cognac last Sunday from a business in Dundalk, Baltimore County Police said. At around 5 a.m. March 16, someone entered a fenced-in lot in the 7000 block of Quad Avenue through an unlocked employee entrance and took the truck, according to a police report. The person then hooked up the truck to a chassis that was carrying a cargo container, which was filled with the cases of cognac. The burglar fled the scene westbound on Quad Avenue.

Savage/North Laurel Overton Drive,  9600 block, 6:41 p.m. March 13. Entry gained to residence via unlocked door. Female victim saw man on second floor and yelled. Male victim found suspect in second floor closet. Suspect fled. Police apprehended suspect. Headphones and sunglasses stolen. Fard Muhammed Lucas, 27, of Earl Levy Court in Laurel charged with first-, third-and fourth-degree burglary, theft, malicious destruction of property and possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia.

Dinner The Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer will host its annual Irish dinner from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 15, at the church, 7606 Quarterfield Road in Glen Burnie. Howard County Police Department will host an open house Saturday, March 15, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. to offer information on job opportunities for entry-level police officers, lateral police officers, police cadets and seasonal cadets. The event at the James N. Robey Public Safety Training Center, 2200 Scott Wheeler Drive, Marriottsville, will include displays of equipment including a tactical vehicle, command post and motorcycles. There will also be tours of the training facility. The department is recruiting entry-level police officer candidates.

Bass fishing team Tuesday, March 4: The Pro-Formance Fishing Team, a member of the Maryland Bass Nation, is seeking additional members and will hold a meeting for prospective new members at 6 p.m. at Italia's Corner Cafe in Ferndale. The club is primarily based in Glen Burnie and Annapolis but has membership throughout the region. The club is fishing 12 club tournaments this year and participates in MBN and other tournaments. It is seeking boaters but can accommodate a few riders, too. It welcomes new anglers who want to learn how to fish for bass competitively in a friendly environment.
