ELDERSBURG A resident of Victor Drive reported at 5 p.m. Wednesday the theft of a credit card that was used to buy $13,581 worth of medical supplies. Sheriff's Deputy James Krawczyk is investigating. A resident of Stone Mill Court told Deputy Krawczyk on Tuesday that an account had been opened with a cellular telephone company using the resident's identity. About $800 in equipment and services had been billed to the victim using this unauthorized account. Charges were pending against a 41-year-old Sykesville resident March 12, according to the state police, after a woman reported a 5-year-old boy left alone in a vehicle that was parked next to hers at the Wal-Mart lot. The boy, who was playing with toys and talking to passers-by, told the police he often was left alone, according to the report.
