A man was fatally stabbed in the Seton Hill historic district Monday night, according to Baltimore Police. Officers received a call at 9:30 p.m. about a stabbing at West Franklin Street at Paca Street, police said. They found a man lying on the sidewalk at that location. He was taken to Shock Trauma where he was pronounced dead at 10:10 p.m., police said. The man's name was not released, pending notification of family. No other details were available.

Baltimore police have identified a man who was shot and killed Tuesday in East Baltimore. Raymond Gibson, 21, was walking with a cousin and another man in the 1700 block of N. Caroline St. about 2:45 p.m. when a man across the street began firing, police said. Gibson, who was hit in the head, was pronounced dead at 7:30 p.m. at Johns Hopkins Hospital, police said. - Liz F. An Oakland man was killed after his 16-foot trailer caught on fire Friday evening, officials said. 25 firefighters from Oakland responded to the blaze after receiving a call from a neighbor, and discovered the man dead inside the trailer once it had been put out, officials said. A 38-year-old man was wounded in a shooting early Saturday in the 3900 block of Loch Raven Boulevard, according to Baltimore police. Police responded to the scene, in the Original Northwood neighborhood near the Loch Raven VA Community Living and Rehabilitation Center, for a report of a shooting. Officers found the man suffering from a gunshot wound to his arm. The man was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Detectives are investigating the incident. A 28-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint by as he knocked on a friend's apartment door Sunday night in Laurel, Anne Arundel County police said. The man was knocking on the door in the 3500 block of Sharonwood Road at about 9:30 p.m. when a man with a handgun approached from behind, ordered him to get down on the ground and took the two sets of keys he was carrying, police said. When the friend in the apartment opened the door slightly to see what was going on, the robber unsuccessfully tried to push his way in, police said.

City police are investigating a shooting early Wednesday in the Dolfield neighborhood that has left a 36-year-old man hospitalized. A man was shot in the buttocks during an attempted robbery early Wednesday morning in Northeast Baltimore, city police reported. Based on preliminary information, the man who was held up was shot at 3:39 a.m. in the 6800 block of Laurelton Avenue, in the Hamilton Hills neighborhood, police said. A man injured after his boat collided with a power boat in southern Anne Arundel County was flown to Maryland Shock Trauma Center on Friday, officials said. The crash occurred in the West River, near Shady Side, at about 4:45 p.m., according to U.S. Coast Guard officials. A witness reported the accident and then held the man alongside his boat until a Coast Guard boat crew arrived to help. Emergency medical technicians were able to stabilize the man aboard the Coast Guard boat, officials said, and he was taken to the YMCA ball field off the Rhode River, where he was transported by a state police helicopter.

A tree felled by the effects of the storm crashed through a Pasadena home in Anne Arundel County Monday night, killing a 74-year-old man, authorities said. County officials identified the man as Donald C. Cannata Sr., who neighbors said was friendly but reserved and lived alone. Neighbors and officials said an 80-foot oak tree — the same tree where Cannata leashed his poodle, Ricky — fell into the kitchen of the small, brick ranch-style home on Suitt Avenue. Fire officials said the tree trapped the man beneath it. He died at the scene.

The native of Great Britain scoured the Internet, chose a person with an English-sounding name, obtained his college transcripts and memorized an alternate life story. He got a birth certificate, a Maryland driver's license and a United States passport in the name of Kurt Branham, with an address on Wheeling Street in Baltimore's Federal Hill neighborhood.
