An officer called to quell a domestic quarrel at a Glen Burnie apartment Wednesday arrested the couple who lived there and a Pasadena man on drug charges after an officer spotted marijuana on a living room table, police said.Police said the officer arrived at the apartment in the 1100 block of Castle Harbor Way about 1:30 p.m. The man who answered the door told the officer his brother and a woman were in the bedroom fighting. When the couple told the officer they lived in the apartment, he arrested them and the man at the door and charged them with possession of marijuana.

A 56-year-old Columbia woman was robbed by a man wielding a knife as she sat in her car outside a townhouse and condominium development in Town Center Tuesday afternoon, Howard County police said.The woman was not injured. Police said a man surprised her about 2 p.m. in the 5400 block of Smooth Meadow Way, threatened her with a knife, grabbed her purse and ran.The robber was described as a thin black male standing 5 feet, 7 inches tall and wearing a dark baseball hat, a dark T-shirt and long, dark pants, police said.

A man armed with a 6-inch knife robbed an Arnold motel Sunday morning of an undisclosed amount of money, county police said.The man walked into the Days Inn in the 1500 block of Whitehall Road about 2:50 a.m. and brandished the knife at Andrew Andrezywski, 20, the clerk on duty. The robber ordered Mr. Andrezywski to open the cash drawer and took the money when the clerk complied, police said.The man then ordered Mr. Andrezywski and a witness who was in the office to lie face down on the floor and not to move before he ran off, police said.

A man armed with a steak knife robbed an Edgewater branch of Washington Federal Savings Bank Friday and fled with an undisclosed amount of money, Anne Arundel County police said.No one was injured.Police said the suspect entered the branch in the 3100 block of Solomons Island Road about 10 a.m. wearing dark shorts, black shoes, a black T-shirt, a black cap, black gloves and a blue and white bandanna over his face.He displayed what appeared to be a steak knife and demanded money from a teller, who complied.

Police are looking for the man who brandished a large butcher knife and robbed a Severna Park 7-Eleven store early Friday morning.The man, who was wearing a ski mask, walked into the store in the 100 block of Ritchie Highway about 1:30 a.m. He went to the counter and ordered the clerk to open the cash register. A Reisterstown woman was kidnapped and assaulted as she jogged along Baltimore-Annapolis Boulevard near Lake Waterford Park Sunday evening, county police said yesterday.According to police, the woman, 26, stopped about 6:30 p.m. to give directions to a man whose pickup truck was stopped along the side of the road. As she was talking with him, he grabbed her by the wrist and pulled her into the truck.He drove her three miles to Magothy Bridge Road, threatened her with a knife, ordered her out of the truck and shoved her to the ground, police said.

A 23-year-old Glen Burnie woman was robbed of her purse in the parking lot of a grocery store Thursday night, county police reported.Sandra K. Hook, 23, told officers that she was walking in the parking lot of the Giant at East Park Shopping Center on Crain Highway at 10:30 p.m. when a man ran up behind her and grabbed her purse. She struggled with him for several minutes until the purse strap snapped, and the man ran off with it, police said.Ms. Hook, of the 100 block Northdale Road, described the robber as a black man, 30 years old, 6 feet tall and 200 pounds.

Man with knife holds up Holiday InnA man with a knife held up a Glen Burnie hotel early yesterday morning, police reported.Officers said the man walked into the Holiday Inn in the 6600 block of Ritchie Highway at 1:20 a.m. and threatened the clerk with a knife. He grabbed money out of the cash register and walked the desk clerk outside before running across the parking lot toward Shelly Road.Restaurant held up by man with gunA man saying he had a gun robbed the Homestyle Family Buffet of an undisclosed amount of money Tuesday afternoon, county police said yesterday.

A Glen Burnie man was robbed and beaten early yesterday by three menwho asked him the time, county police reported.Detectives said the 32-year-old man had dropped off a hitchhiker about 2:30 a.m. on Whitacker Road in Freetown Village when three men stopped him and askedthe time.When the man told them the time, one of the three grabbed his watch and ran toward Levi Court. The victim followed the trio to Levi Court and asked for his watch back. One of the men gave the watch back,but the three then beat him, police said.
