A man who robbed the Carrollton Bank of Baltimore in the 1700 block of E. Joppa Road in Baynesville yesterday fit the description of a man police have linked to 23 bank robberies in the city and Baltimore and Anne Arundel counties. The man, who wore a white baseball cap and dark jacket, gave a teller a note demanding money. He did not display a weapon. After being given a stack of bills in a white bank bag that also contained an exploding dye pack, the man ran out the front door. The pack exploded on the parking lot, staining many bills with an orange dye. Baltimore County police said the man recovered some of the money and drove off in a gray 1986 Chevrolet Nova reported stolen earlier in the day in Baltimore.
