A 39-year-old man, who had been stabbed at least three times, was found today in the back yard of a home in north Baltimore.The victim, Curtis E. Cox of the 6300 block of Yorkshire Drive, was listed in critical condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital, police said.A resident in the 4000 block of The Alameda was letting out his dog about 7 a.m. when he saw Cox lying unconscious in the yard behind the house.Police theorize that Cox was attacked in a wooded area near the home and dumped in the yard.

A 23-year-old Halethorpe man was stabbed outside a Brooklyn Park 7-Eleven store early Sunday morning, Anne Arundel County police said Monday. Police said the victim got into a fight with the suspect inside the convenience store on Ritchie Highway, shortly before 2:30 a.m. The fight became physical outside the store and the suspect stabbed the victim. The victim told police the suspect then fled toward Church Street with a white male and white female. The victim sustained a minor stab wound to the upper part of his body, as well as a laceration to an extremity, and was treated at Harbor Hospital.

A Carroll County teenager is accused of stabbing his brother yesterday, sending him to Maryland Shock Trauma Center with life-threatening injuries, police said. Taneytown police officers were dispatched to the 100 block of E. Baltimore St. about 1 p.m. yesterday, police said. When they arrived, they found Jason T. Blizzard, 23, with at least one chest wound. They arrested his brother, Ryan W. Blizzard, 16, and charged him as an adult with attempted murder and assault. Several witnesses were being questioned, police said.

A man was stabbed to death in the Broening Manor section of Southeast Baltimore Tuesday morning, police said. The victim was identified Wednesday as William Harold Simmons, 49, of Dundalk. Police were called just after 6 a.m. to the 1700 block of Kane Street, for a report of a man lying unconscious in the street, police said. They found Simmons suffering from multiple stab wounds, and he was taken to a hospital, where he died. No suspect or motive information was released.

Joppa man was found fatally stabbed early yesterday in a parking lot in Edgewood, Harford County sheriff's deputies said. About 2 a.m., two passers-by saw the wounded David Arnold Byrd, 30, lying in the 1900 block of Edgewater Drive, said Sgt. Chris Presberry, a spokeswoman for the sheriff's office. Byrd, of the 400 block of Latimer Road, had been stabbed in the torso. He was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore, where he was pronounced dead, Presberry said. Presberry said police have no suspects in Byrd's killing.

A 24-year-old West Baltimore man was fatally stabbed early today during an argument prompted by a bottle of beer.City police said the victim, John Taylor of the 3000 block of W. North Ave., was stabbed in the chest at the home of his girlfriend in the 700 block of N. Gilmor St. at 1:45 a.m. Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene.Police arrested Andrea Moore, 25, of the Gilmor Street address, and charged her with first-degree murder and use of a deadly weapon. Moore was being held at the Women's Detention Center awaiting a bail hearing before a court commissioner.

A 26-year-old man who tried to help a woman fend off an attacker yesterday afternoon in the Barclay neighborhood was stabbed in the chest after a brief chase, police said.James Hall, who lives in the 600 block of East 27th St., was listed in fair condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital with a stab wound near his heart.Police said a man kicked in the door of a rowhouse in the 2200 block of Barclay St. about 12:20 p.m. and assaulted the woman inside. Mr. Hall, who was visiting, intervened, but the man attacked him with a 12-inch knife, police said.

A 51-year-old stabbing victim stumbled into a North Avenue carryout early yesterday, seeking help, and died minutes later at a hospital. Cary Lee McKnight of the 100 block of E. North Ave. was outside New World Carryout in the 300 block of E. North Ave. about 12:10 a.m. when he was stabbed in the neck, police said. McKnight collapsed inside after telling employees he had been stabbed by someone who tried to rob him. He died after being taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital. Anyone with information about the attack is asked to call Detectives Robert Dohony or Michael Baier at 410-396-2100.

A man and his estranged wife were in serious condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore yesterday after the man stabbed the woman and himself repeatedly in Annapolis on Sunday night, city police said. According to police, the man stopped at the home the couple used to share at the 100 block of Rosecrest Drive at 9:30 p.m. to get water for his overheating car. He saw his wife on the front porch and attacked her with a pocketknife, stabbing her in the torso, shoulder and neck, police said.

A dispute between two employees of a Fallston business over a meatball during lunch Thursday led to a stabbing, the Harford County Sheriff's Office said. Deputies were called around 11:10 a.m. to the business in the 2300 block of Belair Road, where they learned there had been an argument over one employee eating the other's meatball from his lunch, Sheriff's Office spokesperson Cristie Kahler said. An fight ensued and the employee who had eaten the meatball was stabbed in the arm by the employee whose lunch he had taken the meatball from, Kahler said.

A 30-year-old Severn man was in critical but stable condition after being stabbed multiple times by two men late Friday, police said. The victim got into an altercation with two men in the 8500 block of Pioneer Drive before being stabbed multiple times about 11:59 on Friday, Anne Arundel County Police said. The man was transported to Shock Trauma with nonlife-threatening injuries, police said. Both suspects fled the scene before police arrived. Officers obtained arrest warrants on Saturday and are searching for Curtis Matthew Howard, 24, and Gary Jamal Howard, 24. Their last known address is also in the 8500 block of Pioneer Drive in Severn, police said.

A man was fatally stabbed in North Baltimore late Tuesday night while a woman was shot in the leg in a robbery attempt on the edge of the Charles Village neighborhood early Wednesday morning, police said. Around 11:20 p.m. police found a man with several stab wounds near the intersection of Old York Road and Willow Avenue, police said. The man, identified Wednesday night as Robert Morris, 31, of the 4700 block of Alhambra Ave., was pronounced dead at a hospital. Police said the stabbing happened in the 500 block of East Cold Spring Lane.

A man and woman were stabbed following an argument in a West Baltimore home Thursday, police said. The incident occured before 8:53 p.m. Thursday in the 4100 block of Chatham Road in the Dorchester neighborhood, police said. A 43-year-old suspect was taken into custody, and detectives are investigating, police said. The victims - a 73-year-old man and 31-year-old woman - were transported to an area hospital. The elderly man was in critical condition, while the woman was in serious, but stable, condition, police said.

Baltimore Police officers on patrol downtown responded quickly to a stabbing two blocks from the Inner Harbor on Tuesday night and arrested a 52-year-old man.  The officers were directed to the corner of Light and East Lombard streets at about 6:45 p.m. for a report of an aggravated assault that was taking place at that moment, according to charging documents provided by police. They found the victim, who the department would not identify, bleeding from his head.  The victim said a man had hit him with a bottle, and pointed out the man, who was standing across the street, police said in charging documents.

A woman lured an Owings Mills man into a robbery with the promise of sex, then, with an accomplice, stabbed him 60 times, her co-defendant allegedly told Baltimore police this week. The killing occurred just after midnight on July 4 in the Broadway East neighborhood. Officers who arrived at the 1300 block of N. Patterson Park Ave. saw the front window of a house broken and smeared with blood, and found 26-year-old Nelson Mandela Dakurah of Owings Mills lying in a front vestibule, police say in charging documents.

Police, FBI search for Joppatowne bank robber A man robbed the Bank of America branch at the Joppatowne Plaza Shopping Center at 10 a.m. yesterday, taking an unknown amount of cash, the Harford County Sheriff's Office said. The robber escaped on foot, and was tracked into Baltimore County, where officials said they lost his trail. The sheriff's office released photos of the man (left) taken from surveillance video. Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact Detective Phil Golden at 410-836-5430 or the FBI at 410-879-5240.
