Baltimore police say a man was shot Sunday and walked into an area hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. Police believe the man was shot near the intersection of West Cold Spring Lane and Dolfield Avenue, which is about a block from the West Cold Spring subway station. Baltimore County's violent crimes unit is investigating a non-fatal shooting late Monday in the Overlea neighborhood. Officers responded to a 911 call at 11:51 p.m. in the 7400 block of Linden Avenue, near Fullerton Avenue and east of Belair Road. Witnesses told police that a vehicle pulled up to an unidentified man, walking on the street, and fired several shots. The victim sustained at least one gunshot wound, police said. He is being treated at an area hospital and is expected to recover, police said.

Two men confronted another man in an Essex barbershop Wednesday afternoon and shot him, police said. Baltimore County police responded at 2:34 p.m. to the business in the 600 block of S. Marlyn Ave., near Homberg Street and Deep Creek. A 39-year-old man had been injured and he has been taken to an area hospital for treatment. His injuries were not life threatening. The motive for the shooting is still under investigation, police said. Police placed schools in the area on alert status as a precautionary measure.

A man was shot and killed in the Walbrook neighborhood Friday night, police said, and another was shot, but not fatally, on East North Avenue early Saturday. Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 3000 block of Elgin Avevnue at 10:12 p.m. and found a man, not named by police, suffering mutliple gunshot wounds. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene minutes later, according to police. Police believe the victim was walking on the street, approached by another person and shot.

A man was shot in Halethorpe early Saturday but is expected to survive, a Baltimore County police spokesman said. The victim, who was not identified, was shot in the arm about 1 a.m. at Bero Road and Fifth Avenue, in the county's southwest. He was taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center for treatment. A man was shot at least once in the 1100 block of Homewood Avenue early Tuesday evening, police said. Officers responded to reports of gunshots at 5:20 p.m. and found a man shot at least once in the upper body, police said. He was transported to an area hospital. The victim was not named and police said no other information was immediately available. It was the sixth shooting in the Johnston Square neighborhood this year, according to police statistics. One of them was fatal. 28-year-old Gregory Kearney was shot and killed on Feb. 6. iduncan@baltsun.com

Baltimore police reported that a man was shot in the face in Sandtown-Winchester on Saturday night. The shooting was reported about 9 p.m. in the 1800 block of Presbury Street, police said via Twitter. The area is northwest of downtown. The victim was taken to an area hospital, police said.
