A man was shot in Essex Monday, Baltimore County police said. Officers were called just before 7 p.m. to Middleborough Road and Hartland Road for a shooting. They found a man with gunshot wounds, about a quarter mile south on Middleborough Road and Route 702, police said. Police later determined the shooting occurred at Strawflower Road and Sandy Stone Road. The victim was taken to an area hospital, but police did not know his condition Tuesday morning. Police have not identified a suspect or motive, or whether the victim was targeted.

A man was injured when he was shot with a BB gun near Hereford High School at about 8 p.m. Wednesday night, Baltimore County police said. The victim, estimated to be in his 50s, had an upper-body wound and is expected to survive, police spokesman Cpl. John Wachter said. Police said initially that they were not sure whether the weapon was a BB gun or a low-caliber handgun. Authorities are searching the area of the 17300 block of York Rd. for a suspect, who might have also caused a nearby car crash, in which a vehicle left the road, police said.

Baltimore police are investigating a shooting in Washington Village, according to a spokesman. The victim told police he was in a vehicle talking to a man standing in the 1200 block of Ward Street just before 1 a.m., said Baltimore Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi. The 22-year-old got out of his vehicle and the man shot several times, hitting him twice, said the spokesman. The victim was taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center for treatment, Guglielmi said.

A man was shot in the Belair-Edison neighborhood in Northeast Baltimore Sunday night, police said. Officers were called to the 3800 block of Elmley Ave. at 10:16 p.m. for the shooting and found a 19-year-old man with a head wound, police said. The victim was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. The victim's condition was not released, and police did not provide any information on a suspect or motive. Northeastern District detectives are investigating, and anyone with information may call 410-396-2444.

Baltimore City police have released the name of a Baltimore man shot and killed on Monday night. Richard Muir, 29, of 1823 Druid Hill Ave. was shot multiple times on Druid Hill Avenue. Police first responded to the shooting at 9:27 p.m. Two hours later police reported Muir had died.

An unidentified man was shot in the leg in Northwest Baltimore about 9 p.m. Monday, according to city police. The victim was shot in the 3900 block of Barrington Road, police said. A department spokesman said police have no further details about the incident.

Two schools in Baltimore County went on alert for an hour Friday morning after police said a man was shot in a nearby block. Officers went to the first block of Eiffel Court in Essex to investigate the shooting at 10:45 a.m. Friday, Baltimore County Police said. They found a man who had been shot at least once, prompting Deep Creek Middle School and Deep Creek Elementary School to issue an alert, meaning they restricted access to their campuses and had staff monitoring entrances and exits.

Two men were shot - one of them fatally - in Highlandtown on Tuesday just after midnight, police said. The shooting occurred in the 3700 block of E. Pratt St. at about 12:30 a.m., police said. Officers were called for a report of gunshots heard in the area and found a man who had been shot in the back. He died at a hospital. Police said a second victim was found "nearby" with non-life-threatening injuries. Police did not release the ages or identities of the victims. A motive and suspect description was not provided.

A man was critically injured in a shooting in Broadway East Sunday, Baltimore police said. The victim was shot as he got out of a car just before 4 p.m. in the 2300 block of E. Oliver St. in the East Baltimore neighborhood, police said. Officers were called, but the victim had gotten back into the car and gone to a local hospital, police said. They found him there — in critical condition with life-threatening injuries — roughly a half hour later. Police mistakenly reported another victim had nonfatal injuries in the shooting.

A Forest Hill man was shot and killed early Saturday morning outside a Southeast Baltimore seafood restaurant, Baltimore police said. About 12:15 a.m., officers found man with multiple gunshot wounds outside Jimmy's Famous Seafood in the 6500 block of Holabird Ave. in the Broening Manor section of Southeast Baltimore, police said. He was taken to an area hospital where he died, police said. Police later identified the victim as Alvin Wells, 39. Police did not provide additional information about a suspect or a motive.
