The man shot by a city police officer Tuesday night moments after he robbed a Fells Point fast-food restaurant died early yesterday at Johns Hopkins Hospital, said a Police Department spokesman. Coby Brown, 23, of the 900 block of Pennsylvania Ave. was seen after Officer Modesto A. Olivio Jr. and another officer, who were on foot patrol, were alerted to the robbery about 7 p.m. of a Burger King in the 2000 block of Eastern Ave., said Officer Troy Harris, the spokesman. Harris said the officers saw Brown running west on Eastern Avenue then north on Wolfe Street, all while he kept one hand in his waistband as though armed.

Two people died after a shooting in Northeast Baltimore yesterday afternoon, and a third man died yesterday after being shot late Saturday. No arrests had been made in the homicides, which brought the number of killings in the city this year to 221 as of yesterday. About 4:30 p.m. yesterday, two males, whose names and ages were not available, were shot in the 3400 block of Belair Road in the Belair-Edison neighborhood and were taken by city Fire Department ambulance to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

Bethel St. about 5: 15 p.m. Sunday when he heard a gunshot and felt a pain in his left leg. The boy ran to the 200 block of Herring Court, where he was found by police and taken by ambulance to Johns Hopkins Hospital for treatment. No arrest has been made.Northwestern DistrictCarjacking/arrest: A woman, 41, picked up a man downtown early yesterday and drove him to the 2300 block of Wichita Ave., where a boy got into the car. The woman was told to drive to Park Heights and Woodland avenues, where she was struck with a metal object, robbed and forced out of her 1990 Oldsmobile.

The wife of an unarmed man shot and killed Friday by a Baltimore police officer who apparently mistook a cellular phone for a gun is "outraged," according to the man's lawyer.Mardio House -- who turned 27 Friday -- was shot three times in the stomach at 11 a.m. after leading a Baltimore police officer and federal Drug Enforcement Administration officer on a foot chase in East Baltimore."There's a large level of shock, outrage, anger, confusion," said Harry McKnett, House's attorney.He said House's wife, Marletta, has asked him about representing her in possible legal action against the city.

A man was fatally shot during an attempted robbery yesterday near Patterson Park in Southeast Baltimore. He was the city's 299th homicide victim this year, police said.Arthur E. Armel, 38, was walking near his home in the 100 block of N. Potomac St. about 1 a.m. when he was shot several times with a handgun, said Sgt. Scott Rowe, a police spokesman. Armel was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he died, Rowe said.Baltimore has had 300 homicides or more every year since 1990.

White was uninjured, and the 47-year-old driver was arrested a short distance away and charged with first-degree assault.Robbery: A 30-year-old woman was in the 2500 block of Boyd St. about 1: 30 a.m. Friday when a teen-age male with a BB pistol robbed her of $20. The youth was arrested and charged as an adult with armed robbery.

A man was fatally shot last night as he stood with several other people in the 2000 block of Greenmount Ave. in East Baltimore, police said.Police said the victim, 31, and several other people were standing on Greenmount near East 20th Street about 10 p.m. when an unknown gunman approached and shot him at least once in the back.The victim was taken by a Fire Department ambulance to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he died at 10: 22 p.m., police said. His name was withheld pending notification of relatives.

A 30-year-old man was fatally stabbed early Friday in West Baltimore, one of two recent killings detectives were investigating. Police found the man lying in the 1500 block of Edmondson Ave. about 1:20 a.m. and followed a trail of blood into a nearby three-story apartment building, across the street from Harlem Park, according to Donny Moses, a police spokesman. Inside, they found a large of pool of blood in a hallway, and Moses said witnesses told police there had been an argument that preceded the stabbing.

2 men killed in city in separate incidents Two men were killed in the city early Saturday in separate incidents. City police said they were investigating the fatal stabbing of a man about 2:40 a.m. at Clinton Street and Fairmount Avenue in Southeast Baltimore. The man was stabbed in the head and chest, police said. Just after 7 a.m., police reported that a body of a man had been found with a gunshot wound to the head in a car at Wolfe Street and Cliftview Avenue in Northeast Baltimore.

Man fatally shot in S. Baltimore A man was found fatally shot near railroad tracks in the 600 block of W. Patapsco Ave. early yesterday, Baltimore police spokeswoman Nicole Monroe said. The man, whose identity was unknown, was pronounced dead at the scene. He had been shot multiple times. A passer-by found the man on a footpath that leads from West Patapsco Avenue to the Cherry Hill neighborhood, Monroe said. The Baltimore Police Department's homicide division is investigating. Four people were shot, three of them fatally, within three hours yesterday during apparently unrelated incidents, one of which was during a drug dispute on a street in the Sharp-Leadenhall neighborhood in South Baltimore; another was a pizza deliveryman; and the third had an unknown motive, police said. The victims' names were withheld pending notification of family members and no arrests had been made. About 6:30 p.m., a man and a woman were arguing with a heavyset man over drugs near a parking lot in the 1000 block of Leadenhall St., police said, when the man shot both of them with a handgun.

Police reports in Baltimore city and county: Northern Baltimore Robberies Two Morgan State University students, a man, 20, and a woman, 19, were walking in the 1100 block of E. Belvedere Ave. about 9:15 p.m. Sunday when they were stopped by two men who asked the male student for the time. When the students continued on their way, one of the men pulled out a handgun. The robbers stole the man's watch and car keys. They then robbed the woman of her purse containing a cell phone, a digital camera and other property.

No arrest had been made. Northwestern Baltimore Victim named The man fatally shot Aug. 29 during what police say was an armed robbery at Joe's Garage in the 4200 block of Wabash Ave. has been identified as Delawntae Finley, 22, of the 1300 block of N. Washington St. Police said Finley was shot by the garage's owner and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Central Booking is getting a new warden A Baltimore woman who has worked in corrections for 30 years is the next warden of the city's Central Booking facility. Naomi Williams started as a clerk in the Baltimore City jail in 1978. Today, she will be named warden of the Central Booking and Intake Facility at a change of leadership ceremony. Williams will oversee the facility where every person arrested in Baltimore is taken. State corrections officials said nearly 100,000 people who have been arrested end up at Central Booking for processing.

One man was killed and another man injured by gunfire early yesterday morning near Clifton Park. Baltimore police said officers were called to the 3200 block of Lyndale Ave. about 2 a.m., where they found two men on the front porch of a home. One had been shot in the shoulder and one in the chest, said Officer Nicole Monroe, a spokeswoman for the police. Both were taken to local hospitals, and the man shot in the chest was pronounced dead at 2:30 a.m. Monroe said she could not release their identities last night because the slain man's family had not been notified.

An East Baltimore man who was shot early yesterday died hours later at an area hospital, police said. Police said Kenneth Baker, 28, of the 1000 block of N. Kenwood Ave., was seated in a car in the 2600 block of E. Preston St. about 3:20 a.m. when he was shot multiple times by an unknown assailant. Police said the car drifted several feet before striking a utility pole. He was found by Eastern District police responding to a report of a shooting. Baker was taken by a Fire Department ambulance to an area hospital, where he died several hours later, police said.

A man shot by city police in West Baltimore Wednesday night remained in critical condition yesterday at Maryland Shock Trauma Center, police said. The man was shot after he fired at an officer, police reported. The officer, assigned to the Southwestern District and whose name was not released, was not hit in the 10:40 p.m. shooting that occurred on Westwood Avenue at Poplar Grove Street. Police said two detectives heard a gunshot and saw a man run by. One detective chased the man, while the other followed in an unmarked car, said Officer Troy Harris, a police spokesman.
