Police are investigating an overnight shooting that left one man wounded, while detectives continue to search for suspects in the separate beating of a man Thursday evening that left him in critical condition. Police responded to Harbor Hospital at 12:50 a.m. after a gunshot victim had walked in for treatment. The man told investigators he had pulled into a lot between the 2400 block of Maisel Court and the 2400 block of Wilgrey Court in the Westport neighborhood to say hello to a friend of his cousin when an unknown suspect shot at him numerous times.

A man was fatally shot in Northeast Baltimore on Monday night, the 80th homicide of 2013, police said. The man was found shot multiple times in the 3100 block of Cliftmont Avenue in the Belair-Edison neighborhood about 8:15 p.m., police said. He was pronounced dead at a hospital about 45 minutes later. It is the third homicide in that neighborhood this year. Homicide detectives are investigating the case, but a suspect and motive could not immediately be determined, police said.

Baltimore police are investigating a shooting in Washington Village, according to a spokesman. The victim told police he was in a vehicle talking to a man standing in the 1200 block of Ward Street just before 1 a.m., said Baltimore Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi. The 22-year-old got out of his vehicle and the man shot several times, hitting him twice, said the spokesman. The victim was taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center for treatment, Guglielmi said. An unidentified man was shot in the leg in Northwest Baltimore about 9 p.m. Monday, according to city police. The victim was shot in the 3900 block of Barrington Road, police said. A department spokesman said police have no further details about the incident.

The man was shot in the 200 block of East 22nd Street, police said. A man was found fatally shot in a car in Annapolis on Sunday afternoon, a case detectives were investigating as a homicide, Annapolis police said. The man was shot in the 200 block of Victor Parkway in the parking lot of a condominium complex, police spokeswoman Detective Amy Miguez said. The shooting was reported about 4:30 p.m. Police on Monday identified the man as John Donnel Ray, 32, of the 4600 block of Rolling Hill Road in Huntingtown in Calvert County. Anyone with information about the homicide may call Detective Charles Bealefeld at 443-986-5561.
