County police said they arrested a Pasadena man on drug and weapons charges yesterday after an officer followed up on a report of an armed man.Officer Andrew Albach was on Fort Smallwood Road in Pasadena just after 2 a.m. when he spotted a Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck that matched a description from a citizen's report of an armed man, police said.Albach approached the driver, patted him down and found a bag of what police said they later determined was $80 worth of marijuana.Albach then searched the truck and found a 9 mm handgun with a laser-light attachment.

Police arrested a Baltimore man on drug charges Tuesday after a 7-Eleven clerk called police to complain about a trespasser, county police said.Tearen Clifton Melvin, 34, of the 2800 block of Seamon Ave. was charged with trespassing and possession of drug paraphernalia.An employee of the store in the 4000 block of Ritchie Highway called police shortly after 3 a.m. and told them a man in the store had refused to leave.When police arrived, the man was walking out of the store. An officer recognized him as someone who had been banned from the store previously.

County police investigating a complaint of a loud party Tuesday arrested a Glen Burnie man on drug charges after finding suspected marijuana in his bedroom, officials said.Northern District Officer Charles Benner went to a house in the 200 block of Fourth Ave. about 1:30 a.m. to check out possible drug use at a loud party. A man who said he lived in the house gave the officer permission to enter. As he questioned several partygoers, Officer Benner noticed a bag of suspected marijuana in a bedroom.

Police arrested a Pasadena man on drug charges Saturday afternoon after observing a suspected drug deal, police said.Detective Rex Snider said he saw two men on the parking lot of the Food Land convenience store about 5:30 p.m. When he approached the store, at Duvall Highway and Fort Smallwood Road, one of the suspects drove off in an unidentified car, police said.Detective Snider caught the other man and searched his 1984 Dodge Ramcharger, police said. Inside the car, police said, he found a small quantity of marijuana, a digital scale, four vials of the steroid Sustanol and $1,400.

Crainmont Circle man arrested on drug chargesCounty police called to break up a Glen Burnie bar fight Sunday arrested a man on drug charges.James Monroe Durm, 36, of the 7900 block of Crainmont Circle was charged with possession of marijuana, illegal possession of Valium, possession with intent to distribute marijuana and Valium, and possession of drug paraphernalia.Police went to the Loft bar in the 7900 block of Crain Highway about 11: 30 p.m. After they broke up the fight, a customer told bar owner Chad Lane that another customer had offered to sell him marijuana and Valium, police said.

Police arrested an Edgewater man on drug and weapons charges Wednesday after an officer stopped him for speeding, county police said.Kraig Adam Stotsky, 30, of the 1600 block of Oriole Road was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of a concealed weapon.Officer Richard J. Hicks said he saw a 1980 Ford speed from the parking lot of a Royal Farm store at Londontown and Elkridge roads shortly after midnight.Police followed the car north on Londontown Road, and Hicks stopped it near Forestville Road, police said.

A county police officer sent to break up a fight between two men yesterday arrested one of them on drug charges, officials said.Officer David Frendlich went to the parking lot of a Hechinger store in the 6700 block of Ritchie Highway about 2 a.m. after a report that two men, one of whom had a knife, were fighting. When Officer Frendlich pulled onto the lot, one of the men saw him and walked toward Ordnance Road, police said.Officer Frendlich stopped the man, who had a cut near his right eye and temple.

County police arrested an Annapolis man and a Glen Burnie man on drug charges Wednesday after watching an apparent drug deal on the parking lot of a Glen Burnie liquor store, police said.Officer John K. Heiser spotted what appeared to be a suspicious transaction about 10 p.m. on the lot of Clauss's Liquors in the 600 block of Crain Highway North. Police said he stopped and searched the men and found 10 grams of crack cocaine in one man's pocket and 2 grams in the pocket of the other. The officer arrested the two and seized a 1987 Dodge pickup truck and $90 from the man who had the 10 grams, police said.

County police arrested a Ferndale man on drug charges in the parking lot of North County High School shortly after midnight Monday, authorities said yesterday.Officer Richard A. Schinzel was making a routine check of the lot about 12:30 a.m. when he saw a man sitting in a Dodge. As he approached the car, he smelled marijuana smoke coming from the vehicle, police said.The man denied he had drugs in the car and allowed Officer Schinzel to search it. The officer found a pipe containing marijuana residue and a small cellophane pack and a plastic bag of marijuana on the suspect, police said.
