Man Escaped

Baltimore CityBANK ROBBERY: Central District -- Police today were seeking a man who robbed the First American Bank of Maryland in the 200 block of E. Lombard St. of an undisclosed sum of cash. Police said the man entered the bank at 2 p.m. yesterday and ordered at least one teller to give him money while pointing a handgun at her. The man escaped on foot.ROBBERY: Central District -- Police said two employees of Cookies Inc. in the 300 block of N. Howard St. were forced to the floor of the shop and tied with shoe strings by two men who robbed the store of cash and took jewelry from the victims.

A 20-year-old man who escaped from Johns Hopkins Hospital on Sunday after taking a gun from a city officer and shooting at four other officers was arrested yesterday on the roof of a house in East Baltimore, police said.Oswald Gerald Trayham of the 700 block of Wharton Court was arrested about 10 a.m. by police who had received a tip that he was hiding in a house in the 1200 block of East Preston Street, said Dennis S. Hill, a police spokesman.A .38-caliber revolver believed to belong to a city police officer was found in the chimney of the building where Mr. Trayham was captured, Mr. Hill said.
