Yes! Fashionistas don't have to drive to the 'burbs to get style. Baltimore's Harbor East announced that four popular retailers will open late summer along the Aliceanna Street corridor.  Anthropologie will open at 280 International Drive in the Four Seasons Hotel. J. Crew, which abandoned downtown Baltimore in 2009, will be housed at 701 Aliceanna St., in the Legg Mason Tower. Lululemon Athletica, a sport apparel shop that gets its inspiration from yoga, will move into 820 Aliceanna St., which neighbors the White House Black Market.

"Between the restaurants and the retail, it is a place where you can spend a lot of time," she said. "It has become a neighborhood that you just don't leave after work. It has become a destination. " The growth along the brick-paved sidewalks has been accelerating, turning Harbor East into the city's hottest shopping destination.

Four new stores will be coming to The Mall in Columbia, including Lululemon Athletica and True Religion, mall officials said Thursday. Lululemon, a yoga-inspired athletic apparel store, and denim apparel brand True Religion are opening as part of the center's 70,000-square-foot redevelopment and expansion. The stores will flank a new entrance leading from the mall to the new open-air "lifestyle center. " Lululemon will open this summer in 3,200 square feet on the upper level across from Michael Kors.

J. Crew and Anthropologie will open their planned Harbor East stores next week, the developer of the waterfront neighborhood said Wednesday. J. Crew will open next Wednesday at the base of the Legg Mason Tower on International Drive,  followed by Anthropologie on Friday at the base of the Four Seasons Hotel, also on International Drive. The retailers had announced the new store locations, the first in Baltimore city, in April. Also coming soon to the Harbor East retail scene -- MAC Cosmetics, with an opening date to be announced, and Lululemon Athletica, expected to open in the next couple of months, Harbor East Management Group said.

Lush Fresh Handmade Cosmetics will open its first Baltimore store early this summer at Harbor East. The retailer bills itself as offering "ethical" skin care, hair care and bath and body products. It will open its fourth Maryland store at 1001 Aliceanna Street, Harbor East representatives said, joining national retailers Under Armour Brand House, J.Crew, Anthropologie, lululemon athletica, MAC Cosmetics, City Sports and White House/Black Market along with regional and local shops.

 Microsoft will open its first permanent specialty stores in Maryland this summer at The Mall in Columbia and Towson Town Center. Other new stores coming to the Towson mall include lululemon athletica, Tommy Bahama and Sperry, the center announced Thursday. Microsoft's Columbia store, planned for the lower level center court, will open at 10 a.m. June 12, when shoppers can get a one-day deal on Surface 64GB tablets for $199 -- one per customer-- while supplies last. No date has been announced for the Microsoft store in Towson, which will open on level two in the mall's center court.

Tonight is Fashion's Night Out, and not only in New York City. Baltimore area shopping destinations are getting in on the fashion world's "shopping extravaganza," a single night that started in New York in 2009 to highlight fashion, restore consumer confidence and give retailers a boost during the recession. Last year, 18 countries participated and 4,500 events were held in the U.S. alone, designer appearances, celebrity guests, fashion shows and musical performances, according to Weinberg Harris & Associates, which represents Towson Town Center.

The addition of four national retailers - Anthropologie, J. Crew, MAC Cosmetics and Lululemon Athletica - at Harbor East could solidify the Baltimore waterfront neighborhood as one of the region's top shopping destinations, local retail consultants and business owners said Wednesday. "It makes downtown even more vibrant and attractive to high-quality, upscale retailers," said Mark Millman, chief executive officer of the retail executive hiring firm Millman Search Group in Owings Mills.
