Thomas E. Morgan, 88, who spent 32 years in Congress and served on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, died Monday in Waynesburg, Pa., after a long illness. A physician, he was elected to Congress in 1944 during the administration of Franklin D. Roosevelt and retired in 1976 during Gerald Ford's administration.

John Inman, the actor best known for his role in the British television series Are You Being Served?, died yesterday at St. Mary's Hospital in London after a long illness, said manager Phil Dale. Mr. Inman played Mr. Humphries, a menswear salesman in a London department store, in the long-running British Broadcasting Corp. comedy, which ran for 65 episodes between 1973 and 1985 and was made into a feature-length film.
