Chapelgate's Dan Lohrmann was 0-for-6 in the doubleheader, and was batting less than .250 when he came up in the bottom of the 10th inning of a 4-4 tie with Friends in the final game of the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association B Conference championship yesterday. With darkness descending at Arlington Baptist, Lohrmann, a junior, then drove a 1-1 pitch deep to center field for a game-winning hit and Chapelgate's first title, 5-4. Passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2004 at the age of 45, leaving behind his wife of 14 years, Michelle Hill, son Wesley, a daughter Stephanie, two step-children, Crystal Elghaennem and Charles (BJ) Smith, four grandchildren, Miranda, Gabriel, Michael and Hunter. He also leaves behind his mother, Mary Hill Lohrmann, his stepfather Dieter Lohrmann, two brothers, a sister and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was a ten year employee of Saint James Condominium. He was also a member of Praise Tabernacle in Baltimore.
