Hofmann Jr.; also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends in the LEMMON FUNERAL HOME OF DULANEY VALLEY INC., 10 W. Padonia Rd. (at York Rd) Timonium-Cockeysville, on Tuesday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Funeral Services will be celebrated in the Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 6 at 11 A.M. Edith C. Lintz, manager of a law office and building on St. Paul Place, died Saturday at Mercy Medical Center after a blood vessel burst. She was 41 and lived on Ralworth Road.Services for Miss Lintz were being held today at the Schimunek funeral establishment, 9705 Belair Road in Perry Hall.She is survived by her parents, George and Audrey Lintz of Perry Hall; three brothers, Richard R. Lintz of Harrisonburg, Va., Robert E. Lintz of San Diego and Dr. David G. Lintz of Hoxter, Germany; three sisters, Lucille I. Preston of Syracuse, N.Y., Mary E. Phillips of Wildflecken, Germany, and Margaret A. Rodgers of Minneapolis; and several nieces and nephews.

Lintz (nee Leone); devoted father of Cynthia Reynolds, Ronald Lintz of Largo, FL, and Michelle Fitzsimmons of Oregon; also survived by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held at the family owned Duda-Ruck Funeral Home of Dundalk Inc., 7922 Wise Avenue, on Saturday at 10 A.M. Interment Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens. Friends may call on Thursday and Friday 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Johns Hopkins Cancer Center, 600 N. Wolfe St., Baltimore, MD 21205 or the Stella Maris Hospice at Mercy Hospital, 301 St. Paul St, 21202.

Herbert Lintz, a former supervisor at Bendix Radio, died of pancreatic cancer Oct. 4 at Mercy Medical Center. He was 79 and had lived in Phoenix for most of his life before moving to Eustis, Fla., in 1990. Mr. Lintz was born in Phoenix and attended Towson High School, graduating in 1942. He then joined the Army and was assigned to the 11th Airborne Division. He served in Japan and the Philippines, where he was wounded and received a Purple Heart. After being honorably discharged in 1946, Mr. Lintz returned to the Baltimore area and eventually began working two jobs.

It wasn't necessarily the old green generator in Wilson's Mill that sparked Henry Holloway's attraction to the 18th-century property on Deer Creek and Route 161 in Harford County, but the idea of creating his own electricity there is firing his imagination these days. The old grist mill, which local historians think was built in the mid-1700s, was outfitted with a water-powered turbine decades ago by a former owner to generate electricity for the farm. But by June 2000, when Holloway - a seventh-generation Harford County farmer and an owner of several farm-supply stores - bought the property, the equipment had been silent for years.
