Gemcraft Homes has opened a model of the "Annapolis," one of three traditional houses the firm is building on one-third to one-quarter-acre lots at the Trails of Glen-eagles in Bel Air.Gas heat, hardwood foyers and unfinished basements are standard. The homes are being built under the BGE EnergyWi$e program.The "Annapolis" has 2,130 square feet and starts at $201,900. A 13-by-11-foot living room and 11-by-9-foot library flank the two-story foyer. Masonry Macks Homes Inc. is building 198 traditional townhouses and 154 back-to-back townhouses in this planned community. Model OpenTiffany WoodsGemcraft Homes is holding a grand opening of the Chesterfield, one of nine Colonial homes it is building at Tiffany Woods in Abingdon.Ninety-five houses will be built in the Harford County community.A porch and a partial brick front welcome you to the Chesterfield, a 2,238-square-foot dwelling carrying a starting price of $179,900.The first floor has a two-level foyer, 12-by-16-foot living room, 12-by-14-foot dining room, 13-by-10-foot kitchen, 11-by-8-foot breakfast room, powder room, guest closet, 13-by-17-foot family room and a two-car garage.

Ryland Homes has opened the final section of 29 homes at Vineyard Oak in Bel Air, where it is building 109 traditional homes on one-third to one-half acre lots that back onto woods or natural resource areas.Nine-foot first-floor ceilings, brick fronts, lampposts, vinyl windows, six-panel interior doors and gas heat and hot water are some of the standard features in the Harford County community.One of Ryland's models at Vineyard Oak is the South Hill, which has 3,035 square feet and a beginning price of $291,990.

Jenkins Inc. has begun pre-construction sales of the four neo-traditional homes the company will build on 15 one-third acre lots at Pine Meadows at Turf Valley in Ellicott City.With a base price of $259,000 for 2,070 square feet of finished living space, the Brandywine is the smallest and least expensive home Jenkins has at Pine Meadows.The first floor has a 15-by-13-foot living room, 10-by-12-foot dining room, 9-by-10-foot kitchen, 21-by-13-foot family room, powder room, foyer, coat closet and two-car garage.

Mount Bay Homes is building three different traditional homes at Welsches Cradle in the historic district of Glyndon in Baltimore County. A total of 34 homes with gas heat, cooking and hot water systems will be built on eighth-acre lots.The model at Welsches Cradle is the Chatterly, with a base price of $195,900 for 2,010 square feet of living space.A one-car garage, foyer, 14-by-11-foot living room, 11-by-11-foot dining room, guest closet and a powder room make up the front of the house.

Toll Brothers Inc. has begun pre-construction sales at Clarksville Hunt in Clarksville, where the firm is building 160 traditional homes with Colonial, Federal, New England or provincial fronts.Public sewer and water, gas heat, cooking and hot water, 42-inch kitchen cabinets, crown molding and chair rails in living and dining rooms are some of the standard features in the Howard County community.One of the models to be built at Clarksville Hunt is the Richmond, a 2,850-square-foot home with a starting price of $323,975.

Koch Homes has opened a model of the Georgetown at Farmington Village at Schramm's Farm in Pasadena, where turkeys once ruled the roost.A swimming pool, clubhouse, tennis and volleyball courts, jogging trails and tot lots are among the amenities included in the northern Anne Arundel County community.Gas cooking, heat and hot water, hardwood foyers, six-panel Colonial doors, crown molding, dining room chair rail and double bowl kitchen sink are standard features at Farmington Village."Because we are willing to customize each of our high-quality houses, every buyer gets exactly the home he or she has dreamed about," said Mike Boryk, the Koch sales associate at Farmington Village.

Section six has opened at Eldersburg Estates in Eldersburg, where Masonry Macks Homes Inc. is building 210 homes on lots from one-quarter acre to one-half acre.Standard features in the Carroll County community include gas heat and hot water, full basements, six-panel Colonial doors, prewiring for telephone and cable TV, central air conditioning, and public sewer and water.The Hillstead is a 1,823-square-foot Colonial with a front porch and a beginning price of $177,300.The first floor has a foyer, guest closet, 13-by-13-foot living room, 10-by-11-foot dining room, 12-by-11-foot kitchen, powder room, 15-by-11-foot family room and one-car garage.

"We sold 25 percent of our lots before opening the model," said Craig E. Hyatt, an associate broker with Pinnacle Real Estate and sales director for Regional Homes at Brushwood in Owings Mills.There are no through streets in the Baltimore County community, which has 25 lots that back to farmland.Gas heat, hardwood flooring in the foyer, an alarm system, ceramic tile bathrooms, two-car garages and unfinished basements are some of the standard features at Brushwood.The Tyler, a two-story traditional with 2,600 square feet and a beginning price of $210,990, is the model for the development.

C.E.M. Homebuilders has opened a model of the Chelsea Leigh at Falling Green in Mount Airy, where the company is building 40 traditional homes with gas heat and hot water on 2- to 4-acre lots.Brass exterior light fixtures, well water, septic systems, hardwood foyers, libraries, built-in kitchen desk and 9-foot ceilings on the first and second floors are some of the standard features in the Carroll County community.The living and dining rooms, both 11 by 14 feet, flank the two-story foyer in the Chelsea Leigh, which starts at $269,990 for 2,900 square feet of finished space.

Firetti Construction Group Inc. has 14 lots remaining at the Villages of Winterset, the Owings Mills community where the firm is building transitional homes with gas heat and hot water on one-eighth-acre lots.Nine-foot first-floor ceilings and 42-inch kitchen cabinets are also standard in the award-winning Baltimore County development.Firetti's model is the Greenbrier, which has 2,350 square feet and a base price of $197,900.On the first floor are a double garage, covered entry-porch, two-story foyer, 13-by-10-foot living room, 13-by-10-foot dining room, 11-by-9-foot study, coat closet, powder room, 17-by-14-foot family room and 19-by-11-foot kitchen with pantry.
