Anne Arundel County Fire Department officials say a shuttle bus at BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport overturned Sunday morning, injuring three people and temporarily interrupting light rail service in that area. The accident occurred about 6:30 a.m., and the shuttle overturned near the intersection of Route 170 and Terminal Road, fire officials said. Three people were hurt, fire officials said. One refused medical treatment and the other two were taken via ambulance to the Baltimore Washington Medical Center with minor injuries, officials said.

As I drove north on I-95 at 8:40 a.m. Tuesday and saw traffic come to a near stop at Caton Avenue, I exited and reversed course to park at Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport and take the light rail to the amazing Ravens stadium rally. That worked fine, but after the event ended at 1:30 p.m., I, along with hundreds of other Ravens fans, was stuck standing on a packed concrete ramp to the southbound light rail line for over two and a half hours with no trains and no information from the Maryland Transit Administration.

The Maryland Transit Administration is experiencing "massive delays" on local bus lines and the light rail system, a result of thousands of football fans attending the Baltimore Ravens parade and breaking through barricades controlling their routes through the city. "We put every available resource we had out on the system today, and the crowds were simply larger than the system could accommodate in the short time frame in which people were attempting to ride," said Terry Owens, a MTA spokesman.

The man shot at the Lutherville Light Rail Station Friday night is in an inmate work release program, serving a 24-year sentence for attempted murder, a Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services spokesman confirmed Monday. Harold J. Blandon, Jr., 35, was shot by an unknown assailant at the platform after completing his day job and was returning to the re-entry facility, said DPSCS spokesman Mark A. Vernarelli in an email. Baltimore County police spokeswoman Elise Armacost said detectives are still working to determine whether Blandon was targeted.

A man was taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center with serious injuries after a shooting at the platform of a Light Rail stop in Lutherville Friday afternoon, Baltimore County police said. Officers were called to the 100 block Ridgely Road at 4:15 p.m. A police dispatcher said the shooting occurred on the platform of the Light Rail station. Police have not made any arrests in the shooting. K -9 and aviation were at the scene with detectives Friday afternoon. Baltimore County Police said Saturday they are continuing to investigate the shooting.
