A Frederick County man and a Howard County woman died in separate car accidents over the weekend that may have involved speeding, police said.In Howard County, a North Laurel woman was killed yesterday morning when she lost control of her vehicle on a bend in Dorsey Road in Elkridge and hit a telephone pole, police said.Police identified the woman as Norma Jean Breece, 42, of the first block of Francis Street in North Laurel. She was pronounced dead at the scene with head and chest injuries, police said.

MRS. AMELIA C. NOPPENBERGER, 77 of Mt. Airy, MD., died Friday, May 19, 2006 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Edward D. Noppenberger. Born June 1, 1928 in Baltimore, MD she was the daughter of Michael and Margaret Makoska Kropp. Mrs. Noppenberger was a member of St. Peter's the Apostle Catholic Church in Libertytown, MD. She enjoyed baking, bowling, dancing and traveling. During her working career she was employed at Hasstinger Seafood in Northwood and was a baker at Horn & Horn Cafeteria in Towson, MD. She is survived by her son Howard "Todd" Morley and Tammy of Dundalk, MD and daughter Denise Sturm and husband David of Mt. Airy, MD. Two grandchildren, Alexander and Gregory Sturm.

LIBERTYTOWN - An 8-year-old boy died yesterday evening after falling off a hayride in Frederick County, the sheriff's office said. The boy fell off the ride on Fountain School Road, in the rural Libertytown area, about 5 p.m. and was run over by the wagon. He was taken to Frederick Memorial Hospital, where he died. The Frederick County sheriff's office released no other details last night.
