On March 15, 2006, AUGUST "Auggie" LIBERTO of Glen Burnie, MD, beloved husband of the late Margaret Liberto, dearest father, of Debbie, Sandy and her husban David, cherished brother to Frank, Vince and Rosalee, loving uncle to Frank Jr., devoted grandfather of six and great-grandfather of three. He was preceded in death by four brothers. The family will receive visitors at the family owned Singleton Funeral Home, P.A., 1 Second Avenue, S.W., (at Crain Highway) Glen Burnie from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 P. M on Friday.

Joseph John Liberto, an electrician and recreational fisherman, died of cancer Monday at his Annapolis home. He was 48. Born in Baltimore and raised in Randallstown, he was a 1974 graduate of Randallstown High School. A master electrician with Locals 26 and 99 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, he frequently worked in Washington and Northern Virginia. A hunter and fisherman, Mr. Liberto invented and held a patent for his Jofish rod holder, which is used for mounting fishing poles into the beds of trucks and other vehicles.

John F. Liberto Sr., a longtime produce vendor whose family's Lexington Market stall supplied fresh vegetables and fruit to Baltimore tables for nearly a century, died of heart failure Monday at Northwest Hospital Center. The Woodlawn resident was 86. Mr. Liberto was born in Baltimore and raised at Greene and Paca streets, not far from where his father, Salvatore Liberto, a Sicilian immigrant, established G. Liberto & Brothers in 1890. After leaving school in the eighth grade, Mr. Liberto sold newspapers for a year in front of the Hippodrome Theater before going to work in 1930 for his father in the market.

Joseph Armando Liberto, a 54-year veteran of Baltimore movie houses who managed the Stanley, once Baltimore's largest cinema, died of Alzheimer's disease complications Sept. 19 at the Northwest Hospital Center. The Catonsville Manor resident was 82. Born in Baltimore and raised on Greene Street in downtown Baltimore, he attended St. John the Baptist Parochial School and was a 1944 graduate of Mount St. Joseph High School. While in high school, he worked summers in his family's Lexington Market produce business.

Degatina, dear sister of Carman Liberto, the late Christina Averella and the late Joseph Liberto, dear aunt of Salvatore and Rose Liberto, great aunt of Christopher Liberto, sister-in-law of Della Liberto, also survived by many loving cousins. Mrs. Degatina will lie in state in the Stella Maris Chapel on Wednesday from 9:30 until 10 A.M. at which time a Funeral Mass will be celebrated.
