Yosua and Wendy L. Fender, cherished grandmother of eleven and great grandmother of three. Friends may call at the family owned Evans Funeral Chapel-Bel Air, 3 Newport Drive (Rts 23&24 Forest Hill) on Thursday 6 to 9 P.M. Interment will be private.

PAUL E. SWENSON, SR., 64, of Towson, MD passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at his home. He was born May 20, 1945 in Aurora, IL, the son of the late Robert J. and Leota Swenson. He is survived by his devoted wife Barbara Murphy Swenson and his loving family children Paul Jr., Lane and Diane Swenson; step children Erin Murphy, Shannon and son-in-law Brian Hill, and Tara Feingold; five grandchildren; brother Randall and sister-in-law Kristine Swenson and Robert and sister-in-law Viola Swenson; nieces, nephews and friends.

On January 30, 2005, surrounded by family in Milwaukee, WI, LEOTA L.; born in Superior, WI, May 9, 1912. She moved to Washington as a young woman and worked for the US Government while attending and completing law school. She was married to the late Harvey C. Donaldson on November 25, 1943. They lived in Washington, Baltimore, and eventually lived in Columbia at the Cove. Through the years, Leota devoted many hours to volunteering. She was founder and active with the Seton Guild. While in Columbia, Leota volunteered at St. John's Catholic Church and Howard County Hospital, where she received recognition for her many hours of service.

McDaniel and his wife Michelle; loving grandmother Kelsey E., Michael E. and Brianna M. McDaniel; dear sister of Susan Smoot, Peggy Hannon and her husband Mark and Jan Shipley and her husband Dan, daughter of the late Gardner David Smoot and his wife Leota Mae (nee Rabb). She is also survived by her father-in-law Milton M. McDaniel and his late wife Elizabeth and many loving relatives and friends.

Leota Ingram Sowell, a former president of the Roland Park Garden Club, died Dec. 12 at her Guilford home of complications from heart disease. Mrs. Sowell, known to her friends as Lee, was 96. Born in St. Joseph, Mo., Leota Ingram grew up on her family's farm in Harrison, Ark. She graduated from Harrison High School there and attended Hendrix College in Arkansas before marrying Paul Dibrell Sowell in 1927. The family moved to Baltimore in 1947, where Mrs. Sowell went on to be a leader and board member of many arts organizations and private clubs.
